Feeling more and more comfortable with squats, think I'll try for 300+ next week then maybe start 5/3/1 after that. Saw some dude repping out sets of 5 at 475 with really good form, definitely a bit jelly, but also inspired to continue progressing.

Took a few days off from the gym, it was nice to give the body a rest. I've been on a super weird sleep schedule lately, usually getting between 2.5-6hrs twice a day. Honestly I think some of it comes from not lifting, I always get a boost of energy after almost every gym session that keeps me going throughout the rest of the day.

Also, drove to my regular 24hr fitness only to see it's closed for repairs so I'll be using a different one for the next couple weeks I guess. Only hex plates , deadlifts will suck yet again.

good work. just skimmed through last handful of pages. might have missed it but what type of diet regimen are you sticking to and what supps if any are you taking? from what i've seen you've had some pretty solid progression weight and form wise. keep it up. definitely makes me admire the strict log recording/workout organization. makes my 2-3x gym a week (mostly non-olympic dead lift type stuff) routine seem pretty pathetic.

Thanks, Drex. Haven't really talked about diet at all itt, I'm not very strict with it besides always keeping in mind protein intake. Usually during the spring/summer I'll do a half-assed cut where I try to avoid excessive carbs, eat at an estimated deficit (no serious calorie counting) and add more cardio, usually through more bball and other outdoor activities. During Fall/Winter I don't worry as much about aesthetics and just eat what I want at a small surplus in hopes that strength gains will come more easily.

No supps, just protein powder after every lift and maybe a meal replacement shake (strawberries, banana, peanut butter, protein, kale and water) 1-2x/week. Going to the gym 2-3x/week is very solid imo, I would guess that's around average for H&Fers. I only go 4x/wk because when I was going 3x my sessions were getting really long and my gf was comlpaining.
