Thanks dude! Sadly I have already trimmed the beard back since it was out of control. That 121 gives me a lot of confidence moving forward.

Now, I really need to figure out what sort of programming I'm going to follow...

Not really following a program right now and am just trying to work on getting into the gym every single day. My plan is to go in and just do some "Bulgarian" style minimum for a lift, do some squats and/or accessories, and then stretching/mobility work. This should keep my sessions pretty short yet still allow me to get a lot of work in.

First 365 felt slow, so I did it again. Next had a nice pace, so I did a little more weight.


Then stretching and working on a muscle-up. I have terrible control of my body on muscle-ups and I reallllllllllly want to get them.

All hookgrip, but not "clean DL". Nearly lost 475 just above the knees but was able to regrip. **** my thumbs hurt after that one.

Clean Pull

Chinese style high pull on 315 2nd rep was pretty much non-existent.

Snatch Pull

All these went well though.

Skipped cool down stretching because I was hungry and I wonder if that's why I feel very sore. Regardless, going to be supplementing lots of ibuprofen over the next few days. Today may end up being just an active recovery/mobility/conditioning day with no weightlifting.

Not yet. I am going out of town this coming week and don't really want to start anything set in stone yet, so my plan is to keep up with the Bulgarian-like concept of just going in there and doing a lift + squat and accessory work. It should look a little like this. DM is daily minimum, which is 80+% and all of those should be super easy for me on any day. After a month or so, I'll be more adapted to daily training and hitting these minimums, so I'll probably start adding in back off sets after the top single.

Damn you train often my friend. Are you still thinking of (or dreaming of) starting a job as some low scale WL coach somewhere along the lines? I seem to remember you were in between jobs at some point and were thinking about that. And you referred me to the Steven Pressfield JRE. So I'm assuming you had some life changes in mind.

I think being a WL coach sounded like an awesome idea at the time, but I'm not sure what I want to do in that regard at this moment. Now that I have the USAW cert I want to run a class and get an official barbell club started.

I'm experiencing a series of mental roadblocks currently though. One of the roadblocks is that I'm really focused on getting a new job/career because I don't want to live in this area any longer. I think there are better opportunities out there and I don't want to miss them because I feel obligated to coach some people how to even weightlift. I probably should go ahead and do it just for the experience, but I also have very little free time so I'm having a tough time getting the ball rolling.
