So this is where the food enthusiasts of H&F hang!
Lotsa good stuff so far
Might as well contribute then.
I'll follow in the foodsteps of KC and pro_FLUFFER ie post stuff that anyone over 12 years can do, with or without a recipe.
Ezpz beef & veggies casserole
1.) Gather the ingredients:
- A bag of frozen veggies; 500 g of carrots, champignons, romano beans, black salsifies, onion and garlic sprouts
- 250 g of cherry tomatoes
- 125 g of Mini-Mozzarella
- Red onion
- Garlic
- 500 g of 93% lean Ground Beef (actually that's 800 g in the pic, but 300g of it was used for another dish
- 150 g of Grated Cheese (Mozzarella and Emmentaler -mix is my favorite)
2.) Grease the casserole with some butter/oil and throw the frozen veggies in.
You can throw the mini-mozzarella in there at this point as well but I chose to add them in a bit later.
Put the casserole in the oven.
225 C is a fine temperature.
3.) While the veggies cook in the oven, prep the other ingredients.
Chop the red onion and garlic. Fry them lightly in a pan with cherry tomatoes and some butter/oil.
Brown the beef and season with some salt, pepper, paprika and oregano and/or what have you.
4.) Take the casserole out of the oven, add the mini-mozzarella and cook for another 10 mins or so.
5.) Take the casserole out of the oven once more and add the rest of the ingredients.
Mix and cover with grated cheese.
6.) Cook until the cheese on top has melted and gotten some color, maybe 20 minutes or so.
Voilà:
7.) I woulda liked mine better with a heap of cottage cheese on the side but there was none in the fridge.
