It always hits me the hardest in the morning. Waking up alone even when I'm not. Thankfully the familiar scent of you faded from my scentless faded life.

Maybe I stayed in your life too long. Refusing to vacate like your long hair and bobby pins that would turn up for months like crumbs.

The funny thing is that the goldfish and teddy grams never bothered me. But what's killing me is that my sheets are always clean, and I'm never waking up to crying or a tiny person with a dirty diaper taking up the little half of the bed I have.

That's what messed me up more than you did. You know how important to me he was and still is. You know who I was to him when I was in his life. You know what you did to me, and that's the **** that kills me.
