Pretty crappy workout. I clipped one of the safety pins on my 7th rep in the squat because I was slightly off balance, that completely threw me off and caused me to miss the rep. Probably could have gotten 8 if that didn't happen. On the press, I either got 7 or 8, I lost track midway through and wasn't sure if I counted one rep twice. Used some pretty crappy form at times, some of the reps the bar was way out in front of my face, not my best work.

Bunch of powercleans @ 135/155
Deadlift: 1x8x295

Switched bench over to GSLP, went fine. Did a bunch of sets of two powercleans to warmup for the deadlift, went ok. Really tried to focus on keeping my back set on my deadlifts, which I think worked pretty well at my warmup weights of 155 and 225, but completely went out the window at 295. When the weight gets even somewhat heavy, all thoughts of form go away for me on the deadlift, probably should even take some more weight off and really work on making good form a habit.

Squat felt a lot better than monday, and I got two more reps than at 245, confirming my thoughts that I had more left in the tank when I clipped the pins and failed. Press felt ok, I think my sixth rep got away from me and took a lot of energy out of me when it swung too far in front of my face. It seems like I should be getting more than 7 reps if I want to improve on where I ended up stalling at 130, really need to focus on my form each rep. Also got my chin up bar from amazon set up, so I'm just randomly pounding out jumping chin ups + negative during the day.

Ok day. Huge grinder rep to finish squatting, felt like it took me 5 seconds to finish it, although I'm sure it was less, it just felt that long. Benching was ridiculously easy, felt much easier than 255. Probably could have grinded out another 2-3 reps if I felt like it, but I was lazy and quit when 11 felt a little tough. Probably will take a five pound jump Friday since it went so well.

Pretty good day. Press felt a lot better, much better tempo and form. 8th rep wasn't even a grinder rep either, I tried and failed a ninth rep. Did some powercleans to warmup the deads, went pretty well. Pretty sure 165 is a pr. Then took some weight off the deadliest again and really focused on form, think it was better.

Not real happy about my squatting, doesn't really look like I'm going to burst through my plateau. Bench though was great, definitely doing 165 on Wednesday.

Deadlift: 1x10x285 w/PC as a warmup

160 felt light as a feather last time, so I moved up to 165. Pretty good, my first two sets felt way heavier than 160 but still managed 10 reps on set 3, so whatever. Tried experimenting with a more vertical back angle off the floor for my powerclean warmups based on some stuff that was linked here the past few days, didn't do too well. Got up to 155 and ran into some problems, just didn't feel comfortable. Would have liked video, but I forgot my camera. Deadlifts were better though, reread that chapter in SS and realized I was bending my knees too early on the way down, I think my form is improving somewhat.

Well, that didn't work out great. Failed my fifth rep at 270, so I moved down to 245 for the next two sets. My legs were pretty fried from trying and failing the fifth rep, so the 245 sets weren't great either. Technically I only hit 6 reps at 245 last time, so I did beat that, but I hit 8 at 250, so not great. Press also was mediocre, I tried to pause at the top and breath after my fifth rep, but lost my balance and had to take a step backwards, which I think sealed the deal at only six reps.

My squat form sucks. I decided to redo 245, and I did even worse than Friday, only getting six reps. I played a lot of basketball yesterday for the first time in years, so my legs were a little sore, but even so. I can feel myself getting out on my toes, and then when I tried to focus on sitting back on my fifth rep of set three, I could barely get out of the hole. I need to remember Friday to get some video, because I feel like it's a mess right now, and I'm tired of not making any progress, and even going backwards.

On the plus side, my bench is going well. 10 reps was relatively easy at 167.5, might have had another one or two in me. Hopefully I keep crushing this.

I divebombed the squats a little less, tried to maintain more tightness on the way down. I lost track of the count a little bit, I think it was 8 but it might have been 9, but in any event they felt better, although there was some knee cave towards the end. Press was tough, had to WIM out the fifth rep on each set.

Still plugging away at the bench, thought about stopping at 9 but decided to keep the streak of 10 reps alive and grinded it out. Tried to PR in the PC but failed 3 times at 170, little disappointing. Deads were ok, first 4 or 5 were easy but then hit a wall after that. I think form is getting better.

Never felt like I was in the groove while squatting, grinded out seven but it didn't feel good. Might have been good morning it towards the end. PRed the press though, which was nice. WIMed the **** out of my last rep, felt like it took five seconds to get it from overhead to locked out. Get to attempt a full plate next time, which is a nice psychological goal to meet.

Squat felt a lot better, added a rep compared to the last time I did 260. Contemplated doing an eighth, but chickened out. Still plugging away on the bench, tenth rep was a killer, but the streak continues.

Instead of doing 3x5, I'm now going to failure on the third set. I stalled on SS and didn't see too much of an increase after a normal reset, so tried this on kidcolins recommendation. Haven't seen too much of an improvement, my squat didn't improve at all after one cycle, but I have set a PR in the press and am seeming to be crushing the bench. I'm trying to get my protein in order and give it one more try, then maybe switch to a true intermediate program if I don't burst through my squat plateau.

135 felt exponentially harder than 132.5, really strange. Tried to get a quick workout in, so I skipped the bike at the beginning, but still did all my other normal warmups, just felt insanely heavy and failed at rep 3 both sets. Deadlift felt standard.

Pretty solid day. Squat felt really good, I'm actually a little disappointed in only seven reps since my first two sets felt rock solid. Got out on my toes a little bit early in set three though, didn't feel nearly as good and was a struggle to put up seven. Bench went great, tenth rep was relatively easy compared to Monday.

Same thing happened today as on Friday, first two sets felt rock solid, third set my form got all thrown off early and I had to struggle to add reps. This is still where I failed last time, so it's good that I hit at least six, but I still feel like it should have been more. As for the press, it sucked. Actually lost a rep compared to last time at 120, don't understand why this is working so well for my bench but not doing anything notable for the press.

Deadlift: 1x7x310

Never felt comfortable on the bench, but pulled it together on the third set and hit ten again. Warmed up with some powercleans and then decided to try and hit some singles, hit a 170 PR before failing at 175. Not too happy with the deadlifts, hands are tore up pretty good and just didn't feel great. I'm not a big fan of using a mixed grip, I can never feel comfortable, I should probably get some straps so I can lift double overhand, or just man up and try it double overhand without straps.
