Anyway, thanks loco for the bbq recs, I visited 2 and rec pecan lodge over lockharts by a small margin. Lockhart's brisket equalled pecan lodge, but I got a beef rib at PL, which is my fav smoked meat. Yum. Sides were just to sample, no room to eat them. There's also a good pie shop next door to PL, very good in-season cherry and homemade ice cream. I made room. Overall, tasty and a fun time in Dallas, but the bbq not quite up to the Austin level in my experience (nit tho, A- vs. A+).
