I am using intermit fasting, + working out 3 times per week + 2 days per week doing cardio.
But I noticed that for the last 2 weeks my results stopped improving, because I have huge craving for bad carbs, - especially cheesecake, lol.
There is a starbucks in my building, and whenever I go out of my building where I live its so tempting to get the cheesecake and I dont know what is happening.
I never in my life had a craving for sweets or cheesecakes.
My diet basically consists of:
In the morning 12 egg whites + vegetables (protein shake)
After workout > Chicken or Fish fillet + vegetables (protein shake)
For the dinner > Some small meal.
What can i do to not have such a craving for these bad carbs?
I doubt I will make this challenge if I will continually eat cheesecakes.
First of all, relax. You can do this. See my thread "Can we get back in shape @ 45? "
Forget the cheesecakes...your meals are all wrong. First of all, eat more often, and with smaller portions....
12 egg whites? Eat two (2) eggs (with the yolkes All of that stuff about egg yolks causing cholesterol has been debunked). 2.5 hours later eat fruit or a ProBar (or other fitness bar with 200 calories or less). Eat a lunch with both protein and carb. Eat an afternoon snack (fruit or nuts) and Eat a sensible meal for dinner. Eat all of the salads and fruit you want.
Not big on shakes or powders. Whole foods are better. Your body burns more calories when it has to break down solid foods, than when it digests shakes. Eat Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, etc. These are great carbs.
The main theme...Eat more often , but smaller portions. Also, No bread or refined sugar. That includes cheese cakes. Starbucks has dried fruit for sale in snack bags that run about 200 calories. They also have nut mixes with a similar calorie count. If you are constatnly snacking on smaller meals then you will never be hungry and have less cravings for bad carbs. I'm not a doctor, but I did this myself and saw the results for myself.
Also, in the gym, do exercises that are designed for fat burning. Work out three times a week. On the days inbetween, run 2-3 miles. The pound will burn off in no time.
Good Luck!
