I do find it a little odd that you can pc nearly 2/3rds your 1rm deadlift. I tested 1rm powerclean a few weeks ago and it was less than 2/3rds of my 5rm deadlift.
lolwut? I was only partially serious. I may actually try something like that sometime for ****s and giggles though.

But I wish my PC max was .67 of my DL. It's at .5555555555555555F5F5F5F5F5F5F5F5F5F5F5

225/405 1RM's, both done around the same time. And I probably had between 5 and 15 lbs more in me on the DL, with the 225 PC being a true max. But perhaps you just don't have good power clean form, like even worse than mine. Consider that if you are surprised at my PC/DL ratio.

if fresh, i think i could DL 335+ since i did 315 on a deficit. using my 205 PC and a 335 DL, thats .612

blackkeys- i read those posts about DLs also. really good read and will be taken into consideration for sure.

might disappoint you all and get a bench session in for monday night since i havent benched in what seems like forever. that and some PCs

Just drank 3 cups of milk. Sleep eat then back at it in 2.5-3hrs benching and prob more cleans

Eta: stopped by park before went home and hit 10 legit pullups. Prob coulda rested on bottom and hit 2 more.. haven't done any pullups in 2+ weeks and when I did it was 2-4 reps max.. not bad

Just thinking about dling more than 1-1.5 x a week makes me want to pass out, goodluck to anyone who tries it.

pre injury I had 200x1 powerclean 337x5 dl. My pc form is terrible as hell, I have a hard time with starting the second pull from the correct position and keeping the bar close to me.

Yeah, I agree. But it would be interesting to see what happens. I'm sure you'd see a large temporary drop in ability, for how long who knows, which would at least somewhat limit how much stress each session puts on you. I imagine the reduction in ability would last much longer than with daily squatting too. Beyond that, I dunno. I may try this just cuz I'm a weirdo.

I don't think my powerclean was that high when my DL was at 337x5, btw. But I haven't always trained it consistently so it could have, in theory, been higher. I don't think either of our ratios is weird, to be honest. People are special snowflakes imo.

At the oly gym I used to go to they would yell at you for pausing that long at the bottom of a clean, even if it's just to feel more balanced. From the way you rocked back onto your heels, you'd probably benefit a lot from weightlifting shoes.

Also you pulled that bar really high, like high enough to snatch it. If your goal is ultimately to transition to full cleans, a good way to practice is to take a relatively light weight and stand with it, then try to drop down and get under it without pulling the bar up at all. The ability to get under the bar super fast and front squat a lot is what makes somebody good at full cleans, since in theory you don't have to pull a clean much higher than a deadlift in order to get under it.

Friday night session

Tried military pressing but too much pressure on wrists.. my right wrist is banged up from Thursday nights PC fails.. hopefully they are good to go early next week.

Some shoulder prehab stuff and called it a session

I'll keep benching MWF for the time being. Just gonna work up to a very tough single / fail and won't do any volume. Trying to figure out how to involve military presses. Maybe just working up to a few (2-5 sets) doubles in the 80-90% range after benching.

I'll use saturdays/sundays for verrrrrry light squatting and/or deadlifting. Next week is finals week so no two a days and won't push too hard, but starting week after I'll be back at it broz'ing it up

wasnt playing when i said easy days on weekends lol. kinda forced to as far as squats go. i dont have a rack at home =[ but i COULD bench. maybe switch to tues/thurs/sat bench days.

also started to feel sick friday night so didnt do too many sets. not feeling any worse but not getting better either. not sure how hard i'm working this week with finals and the sickness.

prob just a few attempts at heavy singles and no volume

idk but i feel extra fat lately and might give up the broz training to get rippppped and weak(er). we'll see
