DL looks good, break at knees a tad later to avoid the bar hitting them. What's with the rolling start?

Squat looks good too apart from the buttwink at the bottom, meaning your bad slides out of extension. Work on hamstring mobility imo.

Might help to pause a little longer before dl reps to get a really deep breath? Not that it mattered here, because you were ripping that thing off the floor like it didn't weigh anything.

soul- i never did those rolling starts til yesterday. i liked them tho, felt like I got into a good grove. i feel it doesnt change my starting position much, hips stayed where i think they should be, so unless I get a flat out STOP from some of you here then I think I'll keep doing them for the time being.

bone- i was getting a semi deep breath doing my rolling starts haha. and yesterday was a decent day for me, must have been all of the cream puffs and fried noodles I ate over the weekend

yeti- haha its a highschool gym, someones iPod was playing. its the highschool where the probowlers have their football practice at when they had the pro bowl in Hawaii

hit 20 sets of doubles last night with chins and just hit 20 sets of doubles a little while ago

tonight = pendlay rows and some light military presses

Traveled to Hawaii many times growing up haha. Some good **** imo. Tried to get some @ Aloha Kitchen when I was in Vegas last summer but their "microwave was broken" smh.

I don't think the rolling start matters - very little of the kinetic energy should translate to upwards movement (i.e. cheating) - so keep doing it if helps you.

lol thank you sir.. was just trying to get 4 reps so I'm def happy about that outcome. squats tonight were tough. had to use a belt

wasnt feeling it today. first time in a while I had to use a belt. helped a ton on the last two sets but I skipped the cleans because I was too dead.



benching tomorrow and I hope to do something good with that. supposed to be a "heavy" day but not sure if I want to work up to a 3rm or 5rm yet

When you're doing little lower body work you can get away with some sloppy programming on the upper body lifts because they require much less recovery. But once you start squatting heavy a couple days a week it completely changes what you're capable of recovering from on the upper body. Just a heads up because this is a problem I ran into when I transitioned from primarily upper body lifts to doing more squats.

i think that is the case. also i havent been getting much sleep this week. i have a feeling i will stall on squats this friday at 255lbs but i have felt worse before and completed the sets, so im hoping for that.

death- whats goin on in your avi? lol who is that kicking? i have been training on and off for probably 3 years but didnt make much gains til i focused on the compound movements (upperbody, anyway) and implemented military presses. no joke, my gains started improving rapidly when I stopped doing isolation work lol

miles- we can trade if you want, sir. these squats are killing me and apparently making me weaker everywhere else. i just care about hitting a 315max but the end of next month. did 3x5x250 on wednesday. do you think it is doable?
