Methods and programs and cycles are great and all if you're trying to break through a plateau that has been otherwise unsolvable or if you're near your genetic limit.

But to get to 365 you just need to squat as heavy as possible pretty often. Simple as that.

re: TM.. I def wanna do that, but my lifting schedule is all over the place right now. Plus my sleep is all messed up.. I can 5x5 squat, then get anywhere from 4-5.5 hours of sleep OR get 4-5.5 hours of sleep then do my volume day.. unless I do my 5x5 on saturdays... thats an option too

Nice squats. As others mentioned, I like TM for squats. I have modified it to only squat 2x a week (volume and intensity) and has seemed to work pretty well for me. I think you have a good shot at 365 if you can get into a good routine that works for you. Of course you will need to sort out your sleep schedule and need to eat enough to grow. Good luck. As for jdock wanting to see leg, I don't during my videos either. I think he just wants some more alone time material.

skeletor- thanks.. your 190 the other day looked ez btw.. sleep is messed up because I have to wake up at 7am on tues/thursdays and can wake up a lot later the rest of the days

re: brozian lol.. I actually liked training like that but it is def a waste if I can't even squat 365 yet imo.. that being said, when I did my 320 pr nearly a year ago , it was when I was squatting to max multiple times a week.. then I got hurt lol




eta: I still don't understand how I managed to do 220x3 in the push press that one time.. I'm gonna get 230 this month for a +5lb pr tho

eta2: I benched today before the FS.. worked up to 225x1 then did 175x2 x2 and quit because it wasn't too fast. shoulda known after that and the 250 heavy FS that I wasn't gonna PR today. 4 hours of sleep not enough today.

Squats are looking really good, great depth and you gotta love the 4 second grind. Are you still having pain on the bench?

I don't think its crazy either. I enjoy/ed it but when I really thought about it, it shouldn't be necessary to do with a max in the low 300s

haha thanks! No pain in my trap/shoulder while benching, but my right scapular area is kinda sore all the time now.. I think I overdid the rolling on it.


Not gonna squat until saturday and will do 265x5x5 for a +10lb 5x5 pr.

re: squat.. went in planning on doing 265x5x5, but the 4th rep was kind of a grind and I bitched out. At that point, I knew I wasn't getting 4x5 so just went to hit a heavy single. Maybe I didn't warm up enough because my second 265 set was easy. I haven't lifted since tuesday because of school and I averaged more hours of sleep this week than I have all year, so idk why I was so bad at squats.

IDK what I'm gonna do now.. prob f around the rest of the year and not make any progress like last year sdkfjsdljfkfelsdgkjfkdzkgxhzscf
