I would like to make a bet with any reg in here. I will bet that busto will not be on any kind of program for more than 2.5 weeks during the rest of 2012. Looking for even money and 10$ through stars

Busto: If I win I will send you a box of pasta.

Re: Busto will never be a great PLer.. train for aesthetics

From what I've read on 5/3/1 (and my own plan on it) you really should be doing it over time. It's more or less a long-term solution to programming b/c you can mix up assistance and make gradual progress on all of the main lifts.

So....I guess what I'm saying is I'm not sure how it's a good program for you. Doing 1 cycle of 5/3/1 (if you can even make it that far sticking to it) will just be the start for you and you'll get frustrated not pushing maximal weight (is my guess).

I guess rather than being a huge bitch I could just ask you what about 5/3/1 is appealing b/c I'm sure you've already thought about this stuff and may have some really good reasons for leaning towards it.

Re: Busto will never be a great PLer.. train for aesthetics

When do you start 5/3/1?

Btw I was making fun of something we heard to my g/f about "muscle confusion" or some type of meh workout concept and how ppl just love to do random crap with no consistent plan or logical process behind what they're doing and she said "like that guy on the forums in Hawaii?"

Oh man I was so proud. Indirect Busto trolling and I didn't even try to set it up!

I did mention afterwards that you're in a different group of lifters doing it right and who have gotten pretty good results, but you just sometimes spaz out on your previous plans.
