God, Rip is just a horrendous communicator. I mean hearing scientific words pouring out of a man who looks like that and speaks with that accent and cadence is part of his charm, but know your audience FFS. To the casual observer he wound up looking like a grumpy old man with an ax to grind and nothing to back up any of his grievances.

The crossfit guy didn't really come off any better there either. Also the ending was kinda funny, just all of a sudden interrupting "oh sorry, we gotta go, thx bye" and that's it.

Also posted this in beginners qs thread but figured I might get better responses here.

I am looking for a belt for both powerlifting and potentially Olympic lifting purposes. Current Dl in low 300s squat upper 200s and bench lower 200s but have never oly lifted before.

I am 5 8 170 ish w a 30/31 in pant size, not really planning on changing significantly. Price is not a big deal.

I have never used a belt before so no idea if I should go for 1/2 prong, lever, or what thickness. Advice and specific suggestions would be great

Stand up and find your hip bone (illiac crest) just below your obliques. Now from this point trace upwards until you get to your bottom rib. How much space is there between those 2 points?

Nice, potato.

Jealous of the rack. My Kettleballs and extra, superior-beacuse-they're-measured-in-kg plates <25kg are always in the way.

Yeah, that is a very nice plate/kb rack. potato. Maybe not 34DD but, I mean, without going to some artificial manufacturing process I think that's about as good as one can expect.

Abrahamovic,

I have a 3" lime green best belt that i will send to you for free if you are in USA. Ive only used it like 3 times. Not sure if it will fit you though. I bought it when i was like 225 but it has like 9 different holes that are like 1 inch a part so it might fit.

HPT was why Michigan, I may have pulled into the lead for POY with a 17th place finish.

POY is worth enough and the fields are soft enough to make me travel to central MI.

SS, I mean this could only happen in Fargo, so its pretty real ldo

Yea its dead here, I was curious about detroit after day 1 with 2 days to kill so I drove down and saw a Tigers game and played at Motor City. Brutal crowded place full of degens. Would not again. Maybe checking out MGM tonight.

My wife has one and used it extensively when she took her weight off. Now that the weights off and she's maintaining, she hardly uses is.

It really made her cognizant of how little activity she was doing as a stay at home mother.
