Generally unless you have some sort of reasonable evidence or a reasonable logical explanation, I'll probably just immediately dismiss it. We live in a world where plenty of people who're reasonably successful at benching think the lats make any sort of meaningful assistance to the movement.

I don't think it ignores it as much as it's out of the scope of the article. I'd call what you're saying "practical approaches to bulking/cutting cycles" where as that article is very simply "here's a number that comes out of biology that's very very very minorly useful".

I mean how many of us even bother to: 1) reduce general life stresses 2) sleep enough 3) not drink to excess.

Maybe start with those things.

Yeah this sounds dumb now that I re-watch the video. Dieting on low carbs is gay anyway. I felt like I could olytard all day eating bacon and eggs and barely doing any carbs, but bbing training I feel like I "need" those carbs or performance just tanks, especially after the first or second exercise in the workout.

Plus sweet potatoes are just awesome. Feels like I can be extremely sated on sweet potatoes even consuming very low amount of cals. Like 300cals of sweet potatos and I'm even more full feeling than 300cals of chicken breast, and certainly 300 cals of rice.

KC pointed out years ago that white rice could be an excellent component of a diet while in a deficit. I have added chocolate and icecream (for me.)

Yeah I prefer potatoes to rice in terms of both taste and satiety, but too much taters gets me pretty gassy so I tend to stick with rice.

Also don't usually run the oven in the summer.

Oh man so I am behind on Game of Thrones because of Reasons but I just saw episode 4 of s7. A few cack-handed moments but overall that was great. One of the best episodes of the last few seasons. Ep 1-3 of this season I feel like you would do better just reading episode summaries on wikipedia.
