You're making a completely outlandish claim with no backing other than an appeal to authority as a farmer. Assani can make his own mind up. As can everyone else who posts here.

I'm going to go back to lolling with the intelligentsia.
well gee, if the 2nd or 3rd strongest guy says its true, then it must be! Thats some authority right there, match that up with all the hard data you provided and I indeed stand corrected!

I find it ironic you put forth a thesis, refused to provide any scientific support for it (most notably wtf flappers are and how they differ from blisters), cited expertise as a **** shoveler, and then mocked diverse and extensive anecdotal experience (including that of world class athletes) while touting your own superiority.

By ironic. I mean completely not, since its readily apparent someone like yourself would make outlandish comments that have little to no basis in reality.

bwahaha, knew youd be back (seriously, i do have money on this)

lets see, I did clarify the difference...try reading maybe? lol at diverse and extensive anecdotal evidence...where exactly was all this? hmmm, mocking and touting own superiority, I know exactly who that sounds like.

Mocking a pseudo-expert... Who knew I enjoyed this?

I actually speak with people who train in diverse methods. We all get blisters on occasion. None of us have tried pig ****ing as a modality to fix this. So maybe you're onto something. Sadly I grew up middle class so I never had the privilege of shoveling ****.

When I power cleaned, yeah. But I haven't cleaned in a long time and I don't have any problems anymore. I also stopped doing stupid **** with the razor sharp knurled dumbells like farmers walks. I do them less frequently and will tape over the knurling to help if I do.

9/21/10

Played one half court and three full court games of basketball. Played ok, my legs feel tired though....I should be quicker than that. Wasn't hitting my jump shots consistently, but hit a few floaters in the lane. My D was mostly solid but not at the level it would be if my legs felt better.

Afterwards I benched. Wasn't a great workout. Wanted to get 3 reps of 295, but only got one. Tried 305 and failed. Was tired going in though. No big deal.

Think I'll take it easy tomorrow....maybe swim a few laps in the pool and foam roll/stretch.

My eating schedule is always pretty weird. I'm never that hungry early in my day, but I eat a ton at night. I put the time of day in my food log today to illustrate...

Food:

Wake up at 11:30 AM, was at gym from 5:00 PM til 7:15 PM

2:00 PM banana
4:00 PM glass of green tea
10:30 PM 2 large grilled chicken breasts with small amount of BBQ sauce
11:30 PM 1.5 cups of slivered almonds
1:15 AM large glass of milk + 1.5 scoops of whey protein

You're right, taping thumbs for Oly is exactly the same as AF's issues with pullups & DL and tearing/blister at the base of his fingers on his palm.

AF, I suspect after your tears heal if you file down the callouses with pumice stone/nail file/butter knife and keep them filed down you should be fine for 30-50 pullups in sets of 10 w/out tearing.

For DLs I still suspect Assani is gripping the bar too deep in his hand. Same can be true for pull ups.

Whatever it is, assani, just be careful, because unlike the rest of your body your hands are incapable of adapting to stress.

No, it was simply an example of someone who's trained extensively in the same movement having trouble with adaptations. Its pretty standard. You're not gonna get a giant super tough patch of skin on the web of your hand. In the same way you may stunningly get a blister on occasion despite training for long periods.

Jump some rope that'll get your cardio up to speed. High Box jumps for explosiveness.
