Agree. >185=fat. cut. imo at 5'11.985758. That's why I am cutting. Because I'm fat. So I am cutting.

Body dysmorphia seems intact. The Golden Loco is in good hands

Just finished watching the HBO documentary Going Clear about Scientology. Anyone else watch this?

Are you gonna sue them for it?

Vacation in Myrtle Beach rented a nice 3 bed/3 bath on the ocean in North Myrtle. Little cool for the bikini's, but the wife did get hers out yesterday. The Mini's are typical Michigan children. 60 degrees, swimming in the ocean.

Came down with 7 cheap kites. Ended up dropping some coin at Klig's Kites and upgrading the fleet. I ended up with a 5' wide Goldfish, pretty sweet kite. Father in-law bought a stunt kite, kinda cool.

Currently drinking Kraken not giving a ****. Guessing I'm going to be +10 pounds after this week.

Life is good. Post more in the LC thread. This place used to hop.

**** Myrtle Beach. Got stung by mad jellyfish there as a kid. Wrapped all around my neck and arms and ****. **** Myrtle Beach.

We came to North Myrtle on our Honeymoon many years ago. Back then, 17 wasn't very developed on the North end. Now it's strip malls everywhere.

Picking up another Bluetick pup on the drive home. Left the other pup at my parents. She's been having a blast being able to run.

Hey everyone,
I have only posted in here once before years ago so excuse my newness. I recently switched to t25 with my wife after getting into fitness first with Jillian Michaels, then p90x.

I have played sports forever and am in decent condition. I have never been overweight, neither has my wife. She is 31, I'm 35.

Both of us have experienced tremendous foot pain while doing t25. Mostly the pain is in our arches. We have both tried multiple pairs of shoes to no avail.

Any suggestions or similar experiences?

Thanks

The lying liar of all liars who has done more damage to innocent people trying to get into strength sports who is far worse than Rippetoe (though he seems much more tolerable on a personal level) is interviewed on Barbell Shrugged:

but LOL at this guy and his ridiculous misinformation. Unfortunately he's really damn smart and well spoken so it was hard not to take him seriously. AT least Rip's accent makes him sound less credible/smart by default.

Even the pros today realize that this kind of training methodology is ****ing stupid, suboptimal, and harmful. Who gives a **** if it worked well in the 80s for a few dozen guys and some of those records are still standing. They literally didn't have a test for turinabol back then.

March goals:
- Cut to 177 lbs
- Do a jellydick 5/3/1 cycle
- Try meditating or at least chill the **** out a bit
Weighed in at 176.2 this morning. Was 184.6 on Mar 1 so pretty happy about that.

Did a 5/3/1 cycle, it was indeed weakling status but I didn't miss a workout.

Did like 16 meditation sessions with the Calm app. Not sure it is for me.

April:
- Get down to 170
- Another 5/3/1 cycle
- Maybe do a few trail runs now that it's warming up

Weight is pretty aggressive but I will probably do a multi day backpacking trip this month.

April goals

Do one lousy chinup
3x5 Squat my fatass bodyweight

Martin Berkhan (leangains.com) thinks [your height in centimeters] -100 is your max lean body mass in kilograms. Converting to strange american units, as a 6 foot 2 man I should be a lean mean 190ish. So yeah, >200=fat unless you're a genetic anomaly (either in terms of frame size or height) or on roids.

Since I thought of it, what is it with lying about your height? I have a friend who is slightly shorter than me and his wife thinks he is six foot three. I mean stretching yourself on an online dating profile, especially to reach the magical 6 foot, makes sense, but in person? I can ****ing see how tall you are, the numbers don't really matter.

Max lbm at like 10%? Sounds about right.

Counterpoint: Martin Berkhan went nutso, and being of dubious mental stability is no longer to be accepted as an expert.

April Goal:
Hold on for two more weeks with any alcohol. Its been ~6weeks so far, starting to get some cravings now...

April goals: Just stay healthy. Something weird happened to my wrist while benching Tuesday. Nothing popped but some sharp pain. It made me think about how something like that could really **** up lifting. All is well but it sure made me think about how injury-free I've managed to stay. So other goals seem sort of inconsequential.

You were bending your wrists backwards. Very common, you need to really focus on not doing that.

The math doesn't really hold up for us shorts.

Then let's place that formula on the top shelf out of reach

April Goals:

HBBS 315x5x3 Right now I'm comfortable at 285x5x3 and don't want to push it, but I'd like to be in the situation where 315 is easy.

Clean 265 again. Or more! 265 is my current PR.

Practice handstands and press at least 20 days this month. Shoulder flexibility and shoulder strength is something that I lack, so this would help with both. Not going to get better at them unless I do it often and exert myself.

Finish April less than 197lbs. I started at 200 on the nose and I've been eating well but haven't budged. I don't know how Monte wooshes like he does but I need sommadat. End goal is ~190-192 by Memorial Day.

adding 30lbs to your 3x5 max seems aggressive (unless you're saying that your max is actually higher than 285). Im trying to add 20lbs to mine and I'd be pretty happy if I did that.

Yeah, it's more than I'm artificially low right now bc I'm coming back from an injury. Just trying to get a lot of reps in at relatively low weights before being comfortable in moving up to heavier sets. Adding 20lbs to your worksets in a month is a great goal though. It's gonna be tough and you may need to squat 12+ times to get there, but gl!
