Debilitating pain in middle of spine? Debilitating pain in middle of spine?

After grinding for a while i get this really constant, debilitating pain in the middle of my spine. Stretching, rubbing sports injury creams, run of mill painkillers all do nothing to alleviate it. If i lay down for a bit it eases up a fair bit, but when i try to grind again it just starts up quickly, having a hot shower also helps alleviate but after shower if i try sitting down at all the pain comes back very bad.

I'm 23yo, 6'4 and have a big of a hump in my spine.

What could be causing this? Is it worth getting an x-ray?

middle of the spine is kind of vague. can you describe it more precisely and give any other information like what may have caused it?

I have no reason to give whats causing it, i've never had a back injury.

Middle as in halfway between base of neck and top of pelvis, right where my hump is almost exactly halfway down the length of my spine.

herniated disc sounds unlikely, but what do you mean you have a bulge? any reason youre avoiding a doctor?

If its worse when you're sitting down, its likely a disc issue. Please seek professional help.

X-rays came up with nothing, and my doc said getting a ct scan was pointless, not sure what i can do now.

Maybe just a ****load of core strength?

That's part 1. Read all the parts of that series imo - there are at least 4.
