Cf my post in the lc thread, i clicked "#thinprivilige" in the suggestion box, but yes I'll look more closely from now on. #impeachobama is easier to spell. Lots of weird vegan people will automatically like anything with the vegan has tag, it's weird. We gamble in the gym about whether the first like will be legit or a vegan.

Full shoulder warm up proceeded everything. Pretty happy to get that up, if I can nail my descent speed I'll be good on the day. I'm the 5th ranked -83 in the country, apparently.

Congrats on the pr. Have you thought about doing more volume after your singles on overload bench? Like dropping 10% and doing some triples.

500lbs for a double. Form is a bit iffy, but I guess I'll take it for now. Pretty happy with bench press, but I'm definitely in danger of lifting my ass off the bench. I did on the last rep at 120kg for sure. I think it's when I try to engage too much leg drive and/or not tight enough at the bottom.

Petty sure I updated. the owners moved the manufacturing part out to a place closer to their homes, and opened up the rest of the floor space into a gym. Now anyone can sign up and get a key, which usually comes with some programming/introductory coaching stuff if you want it. I pay what I always paid (the facility fee) and still get plenty of coaching for free.

Nice work.

There's still some low back flexing on heavy DLs. That is because you arent squeezing your abs tight enough. Breathe into your belly, push your whole torso into your belt all the way around, and hold that as hard as you possibly can the whole time the bar is in your hands.

Bench looks pretty good too, but if you feel like your butt is coming up when you are trying to use leg drive, it is because you have not extended your hips far enough on the setup. Either get your feet under you more or get your heels out more on the setup. You need to get so tight that your butt wont move when you push with your legs. You need to hold that position from the time you set up until you rack the weight. Its uncomfortable.

Totally agree with your observation, and it is almost all I am thinking about. I can hold it whilst standing, hold it whilst pulling tight, then some of it goes when I engage the pull. I'm working on it.

I actually think the issue is partly that that self-unracking bench is too high, that it probably throws off my setup a touch. Again, your observation and suggestions are spot on, I just need to get better at executing them,

Well, I've had better sessions. My mid back just felt fried, 180 felt like death, 195 felt worse. Dunno, hopefully just beat from deadlifting. Had to leave early due to looking after my sick niece, will have to go back to bench press.

577.5kg in comp, strung together 600kg with each lift on a separate day five weeks ago.

Might aim a touch lower to try and go 9/9. Missing 3rds wrecks your total.
