I'm sure there are probably some favorable genetics involved. I know you're one of those "If I can do it, anyone can do it" people, but I think you're passing "anyone can do it" territory.

Obviously a lot of your success is due to your prodigious WIM, but I think there's more. I'm not saying that you've got elite Klokovian genetics, but I do think you were dealt a better than average hand. Of course, by definition, there are plenty of people who have above average genetics, but few of them actually tap into that potential as you have done. So you are definitely to be congratulated for that.

Give him his credit bro, he has been hitting the gym hard. Volume is important. A big massive giant Rock that IMO shiets on nutriton.

Who said he had WOAT genes? Definitely not me. To be clear, I'm not saying he's got GOAT genes either. Just better than average.

Also, in case it's not obvious, I think he deserves a ****ton of credit for his WIM and consistency.

Bench Press:

Back on the gain train. Kept rest under 8 minutes on squats which for me is superb, still felt really easy. Normally the first 6's day after a test week feels bad man... Will catch up on back and accessory work tomorrow. Winter has really hit here though, must have been 8 degrees C in the warehouse tonight.

While I very much agree with the sentiment of worrying about anything that is beyond our control being utterly pointless, how are genetics** unknowable though with all the measuring tools / testing equipment available these days?

** in the sense that what's good for specific sports - anthropometry, baseline hormonal balance, muscle fiber distribution, and what have you.

I haven't taken a hormone test, muscle biopsy etc so in a sense my genetics are unknown. Perhaps not unknowable. I actually think it would be an interesting study to do whole genome association + biometrics on elite strength athletes.

+1. I think Aidan is in that rare place where he not only looks strong, but he is even stronger than he looks. Granted, we can't see lower body in that photo, but still I think if he were just a rando using that as a dating profile pic and someone asked me to bet over or under 1200 on that guys total, I would lose my shirt pounding the under.
