I've done fine so far, though I've not lost much weight at all.

To my shame, nutrition has always been the weakest aspect of my approach. Though last time i did an actual cut I lost 10lbs and managed to make progress on TM most of the time. Will be close to the beginning of this log iirc.

Weighed in at 84.1kg, I need to buckle down this week after the weekend.

That squat was ugly, it's a good thing I have never said an ugly squat can never be fixed.

But i have indeed said an ugly deadlift will never be beautiful. And I await with patience to be proven wrong. Will Syndrom step up? BTM? Jdock? EV? Crickets. Only shortening the ROM helps. sumo4lyfe.

assani had a shocker too. I've seen some of our bigger guys sort their **** out over time with deadlift, but most don't have the WIM for that

I honestly think my olympic timewasting has had an incredibly positive effect on my ability to now get in a proper set up, and decreased muscular imbalances so that I can (maybe) maintain positions throughout the lift. That being said, I deadlifted once in the past 1.5year. So who knows.

Will try in July.

Exactly! Some arsehole was trying to tell me that an NBA basketballer isnt more likely to get his next shot in if he made his last shot, but I've seen plenty of games and know that players get hot.

Would like to report that I benched yesterday with a right lat injury. They were able to remove the bar from my neck pretty quickly so I don't think the damage will be permanent.

Work got in the way yesterday so I tried to catch up today. Have a couple of niggles at the moment, something in my left quad referring to knee and something in my right lat referring to shoulder/elbow, so that made things a little more difficult but a roll helped. Shifting drastically to the right in squats and not sure if that's a symptom or a cause of issue, but needs further investigation on that knee cave.

Thursday: 2560cals, 164g protein
Today: 2437cals, 170g protein
Did ok this week, but probably only a very slight deficit overall. Need to add more fibrous veges to my meals for satiety. Will weigh in tomorrow morning for a ball park figure, but have a fancy lad dinner for my Mum's 60th. Will try to be mindful through the day.

I don´t think you need to stress about the weight, the last 1.1 kg you should be able to make in water cut rather easy.

If it's only a couple pounds it shouldn't be too hard but I've only done and had people do Day before.

Think if you cut drinking water the day or 12 hours before you weigh in you can easily drop 2+ pounds. Have some gum or some sour candy and you can spit out a pound easy.

Yeah, should be pretty manageable at this point as long as I don't blow it over the next couple of weeks.

This pretty much. I think 12 hours before weigh in is a little late 15-18 hours before is more what want.

Also make sure you have food and liquids for after weigh in.

Drink plenty of water until like 3 PM the day before the meet, then no water until weigh in. Eat very calorie dense foods (think calories pr gram of food) for the last couple of meals.

Surprisingly good session given I lifted yesterday as well - PR doubles in both. Probably a little grindy on bench, but i spot a few form things I can tidy up. TRAC says I'm not far off heading into the yellow zone, and I've got a niggly left quad at the moment. Hopefully I can get another massage on it tomorrow.

Cals have been ok, 2301 today with 162g protein.

Solid deadlift day, rough bench day. Three days lifting in a row a bit much, but back on schedule. Weighed in at 83.3kg this morning, but ate a little too much today (2462cals, 170g protein). Phone is broken so no vids for the foreseeable future.

Tough day - didnt eat enough prior to the gym and everything was really heavy. Left quad is nagging like a *****, rolled it out with a barbell and it felt a little better.
