We have one I'd get 20-25kg out of, but it doesn't seem worth it given how much it changed my form

I use it as a tool for my shirted bench, not my raw bench, so I'm okay with the form changes. You should stick with the other one I think.

My coach and the other 700+ lb benchers I lift with say bad things about using a slingshot because it messes up your shirted form, as well as your raw form.

Aidan - get the damn rug out of the way and set up properly before you unrack a PR. You will get that weight legitimately if you do.

I use the slingshot instead of bands because of time constraints/lazy. Maybe I should rethink this?

yeah. They say it influences your arm position in a bad way for both raw and shirted. When I tore a pec a couple years ago before I ever used a bench shirt, they talked me out of using a slingshot and instead using a loose fitting bench shirt to rehab my pec. My bench came back nicely after the pec healed. I've never used a slingshot (or Titan Ram) since.

Sumo was a bit sloppy today, not getting my legs straight early enough so I can finish with my hips properly. Simultaneous lockout doesnt work for me. Erectors were somehow a bit tired after the pendlay rows... Bench felt solid, multi-sets of 4 PR.

Probably last heavy squat/bench wednesday, openers on saturday. Thinking something like 190/125/220 to open, but Ill play it by ear.

26th October:

Average day at the office after an average day at the office. Fresh I might have slightly more than 210kg squat in me, but will probably just aim it there for now. Glad I tried it though, as I almost shut it down after 205. Pause bench of 130 was slow but solid, so maybe 135kg is there on the day.

Looks pretty good.

Make sure you dont hitch at the bottom. The bar didnt really move on this one, but you kind of did and some prick judges might red light that. Most judges would give whites.

Just worked up to openers, less a bit because its a day late/day closer to comp. I bought some Sabo deadlift shoes - they are very tight but will work well I think. Light lift on tuesday evening. Struggling with some patella tendon issues.

Lifted last night, couple of easy triples in squat and bench. My session got moved to the afternoon which is a minor annoyance. Still tracking under weight but it will be closer after eating.
