You're well on your way yourself. Consistency is key!

Re: Aidan's TM/IF Log

Played some pick up soccer this afternoon, conditioning was woeful but had some nice touches. Did some conditioning work after getting home with my sandbags.

Just to add some clarity to this log. You guys do realize those number are pounds, not kilograms??

Anyways, great squat progress and good progress overall, but I am sure Aidan would agree the hyperbole is a little out of control.

He squatted 2.21xbw for a set of five. That's not considered insanely strong? How long have you been lifting Aidan?

Sorry, 2.22 is the cutoff. Close, but well, you know the rest.

Re: Aidan's TM/IF Log

Ladies, please, there is plenty of my sexy thighs and unimpressive chesticles to go around! I'm pretty happy with the squat, but the rest of my lifts need to do some catching up, and even then it depends on whose criteria you use to define strong - i don't think i'll ever be "strong" by Jim Wendler and Paul Carter's definition!! But not bad for ~16 months of lifting.

May 21st: Volume Day

Squat: 335x5x5
Press: 130x5x5
Powerclean: 155x3x5 (vid coming)

Curlz: sets of five at 65lbs

Something of a milestone. 335lbs was the weight that I stopped linear progression on, so nice to get there and do five sets. ****ing hard work though.

Re: Aidan's TM/IF Log

I think the PC's are purrty good. One thing to work on, you're jumping backwards to catch, I would just work on making sure you dont have to chase to catch the bar (backwards or forwards). Backwards is def better than forwards, means you're on heels which is good, but I think as we get heavier it will you throw you off balance when catching.

Re: Aidan's TM/IF Log

I definitely struggle with the footwork. Sometimes my right leg shoots to the side, and I get off balance like you say even at this weight. Just got to keep greasing the groove to be more consistent. Thanks for the feedback!

Re: Aidan's TM/IF Log

I struggle with that too..."football cleans"...not THAT bad, but still wider than optimal. Really bad in catching my snatches. I think the only way to break the habit is to practice foot work pre/post cleaning so its fresh in your head and translates to work sets.

I wish I was better at catching snatches.
