So im travellling to the carribean (sp?) in on January 5th and i want to get in beach shape before i arrive. I am currently 5'10 160 pounds but do not have any abs....is it possible to achieve somewhat flat abs in two weeks of working out ie. situps, crunches, etc. and by eating healthier food...lemme know if u think this is achievable

At 5 10 and 160 lbs, you should have a fairly flat tummy already. If you have low body fat then and are just missing abs, then you might be able to do it.

Otherwise, run around with sweatpants/sweatshirt and don't drink water until you are 145lbs and have a six pack. But then you'll probably die.

You're gonna probably have your best bet doing it with the old standbys that stimulate natural hormone release -- deadlifts and squats. Spot reduction doesn't work, and the alternative of starving yourself will take off muscle and lower your metabolism so fat is actually easier to keep on and shoots back up when you start eating normally again. So go crank out some squats or deadlifts and minimize your carbs and drop the smoking/boozing and staying up late.

Bad day yesterday, hehe. The title rubbed me the wrong way.

The fastest way to lose fat while keeping muscle loss fairly low is a Protein Sparing Modified Fast. 1 g protein/lb lean mass, minimal fat(Google for the minimum) and carbohydrates only from low-calorie vegetables like broccoli, lettuce, etc. Supplement with vitamins, fish oil capsules, calcium, magnesium, etc. You will also lose a lot of water weight which will help you look more cut. The heavy protein intake inhibits muscle loss because your liver metabolizes dietary protein instead of muscle protein. Rapid Fat Loss Handbook by Lyle McDonald covers this diet extensively(including precautions, etc) and I recommend it highly.

That said, unless you're really close, you're probably not going to get a 6 pack in 2 weeks.

it's better to be fat. Ladies don't like men smaller than them, especially so if they look like **** underneath, so if you're going to be fat/chubby, you might as well be big as well. Also, you could say, I'm not fat I'm just big boned imo, or, i've got muscles you just can't see them through my fat imo.

Def fat fat. There are many historical examples of guys who managed to look pretty cool being fat fat, from Sydney Greenstreet to Biggie Smalls. Just get a balla ass suit and a cane, and smoke a cigar whenever possible. Nobody looks good with noodle arms and a pot belly.

lol im not skinny fat.... i just rarely workout like upper body wise....i do alot of cardio but dont have the abs like would see on tv and such and just seeing if it was possible...lol and skinny fat is nowhere near as bad as fat fat..i cant imagine having man boobs...wouldnt be able to live with myself in that case. if that was the case id do as previously posted and buy a bullet and rent a gun

True.

Fat fat definitely has going for it though that you fill out the ass part of your pants. Women are completely nuts for guy asses. I've seen many of them comment on how some guy has a nice ass when it's 100% obvious that all he has is a fat ass -- because he's very clearly fat.
