As for today, I felt great until about 5 minutes before I went to the gym and then I felt something in my lower back, and it wasn't good. It really bothered me doing squats so I cut those off early. Hope I feel better by Monday.

Weight. 203. I've been having a lot of back pain. I went to the gym last Tuesday but had to leave after trying to squat (too much pain) and even bench (I couldn't get into position without pain and just sitting up to get off the bench was painful). I thought I might be able to go on Friday but there was still a lot of pain. Finally made it today. The pain is now just discomfort so at least it is tolerable. I think I'm coming down with a bad case of OMD (old man disease).

Weight: 201. My back has been a real pain lately. Couldn't make the gym Friday or Monday. Today was the first day the pain was mostly gone. I just wanted to get to the gym and do something.

I think my back (and knee) pain is directly related to work. I tend bar and am on my feet for 8-10 hours a night, sometimes with no break. I bought new mats and new shoes today. Hopefully that will go a long way towards alleviating the pain I've been having.

Weight: 202. Felt good...until I got home. I went to take my shoes off and my back went out. I couldn't even stand up straight. Somehow made it to work and took a vicodin, a muscle relaxer and an anti inflammatory (luckily my waitress is a walking pharmacy who has also been battling back pain). It has been pure hell for 3 days. Today was the first day I could get out of bed without severe pain. I think it is going to be at least a couple of weeks before I will be able to get back in the gym.

Feeling much better but still not 100%. I just wanted to get out and get the blood flowing. Did some goblet squats, CG BP and Pendlay rows. Light weight just to see if there was any discomfort (there wasn't). If I feel OK the rest of the week will be more of the same and then maybe I can ramp it up a bit next week.

Weight: 200. My back issues came up again Friday. Putting my shoes on to go to the gym my back locked up. WTF. I got a heating pad on it right away, took a really hot shower and took some pills and got through my shift Friday night. Woke up Saturday with almost no pain. Felt fine today. ???
