Hi, sorry if this is the wrong forum for this.

I find myself in Germany visiting my family, in the town called Lübeck. What is there to do here on a friday night? I'm 20 y.o. and as far as I see there is nothing here

Hi,

next cardroom is Lübeck-Travemünde: http://www.spielbank-sh.de/web/spiel...ravemuende.htm , don't know much about the nightlife though.

Ah thank you, that is an hour or so on the train but I will definitely visit. Anyone else know anything about the nightlife?

uhhhh, if i could only remember the name of that place. Like ten years ago there was a club in lübeck, one of the most ****ed up places ive ever been to, packed with freaks, very exiting place to be. Dont know if it still exists, must have been close to the centre. I was part of a group of chessplayers who went to travemünde year after year to play in a big chess donkament there, but once we had found this place chess became a minor matter. I guess it is the only club in town where you have to cross the dancefloor in order to get to the toilet.

Friday Night - One-night stand in the Casino Travemünde, what else?

Nur ein Schokoladen-Gourmet, der mit den richtigen Nährstoffen seinen Serodonin-Spiegel und damit sein Glücksgefühl auf Höchstmaß befördert, wird man damit sicherlich nicht.

I am living here for one month btw.

Lübeck - Travemünde is one of the very nice places in Germany for tourists and beach holiday. I know this big Maritim hotel there. It is very nice, especially because of the foresight you have there across the Baltic Sea and the mild climate - you can smell it there. I think at this time of the year you will find especially in Travemünde itself quite a number of big beer gardens open - one after another. And you will find out soon, what's going on there and also what's on Friday Night. The Travemünde Casino itself is one of the smaller ones in Germany. I like it because of this old German Casino style. However, today i would enjoy the beer gardens and the beach more than the Casino. Good Luck, I think you will enjoy this place.

Another saturday rolls around. So are there any players from Lübeck on these forums? It's really ****ing hot by the way like uncomfortable.

I think it was very crowed in the evening, very nice weather and a typical mild aroma in the air, right? If you have time go on a cruise to the Island of Fehmarn. There are various offers for that.

I'm from Lübeck, originally. Although these days I spend most of my time in the city of my university.

My favourite club in Lübeck is "Parkhaus" (yes, it used to be a place to leave your car at). At Thursday nights you have the "Ladies Night". Now there are holidays for most students, so it should be full of young, beautiful girls. It's mixed music on Thursday, but mainly house and black music. On Friday it's not that full but still decent. Music is usually rock-pop, brit pop, independent. Sometimes they even have heavy metal and similiar stuff on a side floor. Saturday has a changing schedule, often big house music evens with popular DJs, though. The club is right in the inner city.

The other big club is the "A1". It has several huge floors and is really big in general. Music is black, house, techno, apres ski music. Depending on the floor. They have lots of Motto partys and there are always promotional events with cheap alcohol. Personally, I dislike that club, because they don't play my type of music, the club is too big for my liking and their policy attracts to many agressive people. But it's usually loaded with hundreds of guests, so there must be something about it

Then you have some other clubs. "Bunker" is a black/house music club, but I've never been there. "Hüx" is a very small club and usually very crowded place which looks a bit like 70s brothel from a movie. They play mixed music. Everything you can dance to, from ACDC to house music. You can find people from 16 years to 46 there. You either love it or hate it. It's right across the street where you also find the "Parkhaus". So I often visit both the same night.

Moin NordlichtGer,

Sup guys, I found this thread I made 5 years ago. I'm back out here, just checking if anyone who lives in this city wants to come drink and party tonight? Holla!
