Wonderboy vs Masvidal added to UFC 217, this card if freaking ridiculous. Yay MMA is finally exciting again.

2nd half of 2017 is indeed better

wonderboy can EAD, we all just rode his nuts for a while because he was the first one to make a total mockery out of pig rig
08-18-2017 , 11:11 AM
Well, I'm excited for it.

And that's projection, some of us like him because we like different fighting styles.

He KO'd Whittaker ffs.
08-18-2017 , 11:15 AM
ya but that was early in whitaker's career right after he lost to court ****ing mcgee. think he'd lose to him again now? lol
08-18-2017 , 11:23 AM
No, I also don't think Matt Brown beats Wonderboy.

This is setting to the side that Whittaker now fights 15 lbs heavier.
08-18-2017 , 11:28 AM
so if that wasnt the optimal weight class for whitaker, and it was 3.5 years ago, why are you bringing it up like it matters?

wonderboy is responsible for the most boring title fight of all time. he already fought the dude once to a draw and wasnt even fired up enough to come out and take it to him, he has no heart and his tentative style sucks
08-18-2017 , 11:39 AM
Oh, ok rep.

And somehow you forgot that Woodley followed that up with legitimately the most boring title fight of all time.
08-18-2017 , 12:14 PM
Rep shut your gobbler. The Woodley fights are the only boring fights Wonderboy has ever had, while a lot of Woodleys fights have been awful. Woodley was the one backing up the entire fight, and refusing to engage first.

Wonderboy fights are usually great.
08-18-2017 , 12:28 PM
yea right, woodley wonderboy was way worse

so the onus is only on the champion to "engage first"? that's not a two-way street when dudes are dancing around each other for 25 minutes not throwing punches?

at least woodley completely shut down maia's takedowns and lit him up any time he got in range, maia's face was ****ed up at the end of that fight while neither WB nor woodley had a mark on them after their second match

Let's connect dots:

Weidman and Wonderboy are BILs and bros.

rep hates Weidman.
08-18-2017 , 12:32 PM
thats not even an issue, but yea they both can EAD
08-18-2017 , 01:03 PM
I think wonderboy was over rated and lacks bushido spirit.
08-18-2017 , 03:51 PM
Dudes 16 fights into his career and already a top 3 WW and should have had 2 draws with the champ. Dude is good and still improving.

You don't like the Wonder you can EAD.
08-18-2017 , 05:11 PM
He is very good, he has great skills and physical advantages for his wieght class, but he dislikes being punched too much to be champ imo. I'll be happy to admit I'm wrong if he proves otherwise in short order.

all you're doing is reverse freerolling, pinning your hopes for a fun/exciting fight on a dude who lacks bushido spirit

Right, he'll never be GSP.

Wait

maybe. I'm not talking about cruising to decisions, I'm talking about being scared to engage after getting his bell rung. Maybe I'm wrong. We will find out. I don't judge people for not wanting to go to war or being skilled enough to take minimal damage, its smart and yada, yada but his striking game depends on engaging and taking some risks. GSP had different skills to exploit.

JDS out of 215 due to possible USADA violation.
08-18-2017 , 08:08 PM
what a ****ing wanksta, scared AF of my boy ngannou

replace that broke ass ***** with somebody who hasn't gotten completely annihilated in 4 of his last 7 fights, and then hook a brother up with the title shot that he will deserve
08-18-2017 , 08:10 PM

08-18-2017 , 08:51 PM

If I had to speculate I'd guess its more the latter, I used to love JDS, but he's a shadow of his former self.
