Re: The sunglasses thread

Anyone got any ideas what shape and style of sunglasses for someone with a large head. Most standard hats will not fit my head, they are too shallow. My head is large around needing a 7 7/8's or 8 for pro fit hat, it's also quite deep as a major league baseball hat will still ride a substantial amount above the ear. I also have a tonne of hair, it's very thick so it makes my head look even bigger.

Most sunglasses look funny as they are too small for my massive head.

I know Oakley Gascans are pretty big and might be good for you because when I tried them on I thought they were oversized.

I also just bought a new pair of Paul Smith 817s:

Re: The sunglasses thread

Recently bought the Maui Jim Kahuna glasses

I searched for over a month for glasses. I was going to buy a pair of Armanis that looked great, but when I tried the Maui Jims, they were perfect. And whatever the lens is made out of of it is awesome because the colors of things i am looking at remain. In other words, the contrast between colors is still there, unlike with other glasses where everything just becomes dark. They're $260 at Sunglass Hut. 90 day return policy.

Big Island is almost identical to them but have a much thinner frame, if you prefer that

Re: The sunglasses thread

I ordered these from Rocket Auctions, but when I tried them on they didn't look great on me. I still like the look of them, but I have a pretty angular face and the frame didn't suit my face. Gave them to my brother, who has a rounder face. They look fine on him. I guess I'll have to pick a pair that has a curvier, rounder frame. I'm going to a Maui Jim trunk show in a couple weeks, 40% off their entire line so I'll probably pick something up there.

I didn't have any problems with them. Everything seemed very prompt.

Didn't expected that my clothes are going to match my sunglasses:

Click on it for Fullsize

What do you think about the design? It looks familiar to me but im not sure where from. Will cost around $60-$70 I think..

@boboman: No problem
