Oh, and you can tell how reflective they are (for whatever poker or non-poker reason you may have).
Ya, getting off my ass is probably the best option, lol.

I thought that Ray Ban business vs. casual chart was somewhere in this thread. I can't seem to find it? Help a brother out.

Anybody know what kind of sunglasses Consequence is wearing here? (you're probably best turning the sound off...)

Glad to find this thread.

I'm looking for recommendations based on these requirements:

Style: wraparound
Polarized
Durable construction
Full frame
Scratch resistant lenses
Hydrophobic lenses (this one is optional, but would be nice)
Glass instead of plastic/poly (preferred but not mandatory)

Primary use would be for salt water sailing in windy, wet conditions. I'm pretty tough on my stuff, hence the durability requirement.

So far my research is pointing me toward either Costa Del Mar or Maui Jim. Ocean Waves also have good reviews as does Hobie. Oakleys don't seem to do well in salt water environments. I don't know anything about Typhoon but they look OK. There's also a company named Bluewater Polarized, which sounds exactly like what I'm looking for, but their stuff is all on the cheap end (less than $30) so I'm a little concerned about quality there.

Lots of people rave about the Costa Del Mar 580s. One of those models may end up being my default if I don't make a different decision. People love them, though there are complaints about the customer service.

Typhoon Harbors

bolle Anaconda

Bluewater Polarized Sharx

Costa Del Mar Hammerhead

Maui Jim Surf Rider

Those are some of the ones I'm looking at. I don't really care about cost or fashion. Function and quality are what I care about. Right now I'd probably default to the Hammerheads if they fit OK - they say they are for extra-large heads. I like a snug wraparound sunglasses fit, almost like goggles, so they may be too large.

Any advice is appreciated.

I like these. Like the no frame on the bottom of the lens.
When I wear other sunglasses the frame blocking a bit of my vision is noticeable.

I would go Costa. I've had numerous pairs of them and for what you are looking for I think they are the way to go. I would also spend the money and get the 580's. As far as customer service I've never had any issues and have sent back a few pairs.

MJ's are also supposed to be nice but I don't care for most of the styles they offer. Ocean Waves are also decent but I would stay away from Oakleys in Saltwater.

Thanks, Fish. I was at the Annapolis West Marine today and they had a bunch of Costas but no 580 Hammerhead model. That's going to be my default unless I find something better.

You can normally find them cheaper online. My last pair I found the ones I wanted in person then ordered them off ebay and saved $30. Just had to wait a few days for them to get here.

I'm getting prescription sunglasses as well as regular glasses for the first time so I have no idea which style of glasses suit my face. Was hoping someone could give advice on what type of frames I should be looking for.

I've included a pic of my face: My Face
