....just dropped off the board for a tune up. Hopefully this season is better last. I don't see how it couldn't be considering it was the worst conditions ever and I injured myself and had to have reconstructive shoulder surgery. Bring the POWDER!

Most oakleys are small and limit your vision...I'd recommend their new snow canopy

http://www.oakley.com/products/7016/26509

It doesn't have the external riggers that stick out from the sides..its a way cleaner looking goggles and they are super comfortable. Oakley just hooked up the park I work for with a bunch of them and we all love them.

Hello everyone!

Hopefully someone could help me. I am looking to buy new skiis for this season, either 2011-2012 model or 2012-2013 model. I'm definitely not a beginner, and I don't have a pro status yet, hopefully I get to achieve it one day. So I am an intermediate skier who is looking for a ski that I can progress on.

Last year I have skied on Whistler for a week, and this year I'm planning to go to Swiss or Austria. Other than that I ski on smaller mountains in Canada, but once a year ill go to a big mountain.

From time to time I like to just rip it down the hill at 100kmh+ but most of the time I spend zig-zagging nicely all the way down and then I just rip it at the end.

What kind of ski do you guys think would fit me the best?

Edit: o yeah, I like to ski backwards sometimes but not to the point where I would wanna buy those twin-end skis!

Thanks everyone.

Anyone in summit co? Rode copper pipe this AM, keystone park pm.

Copper pipe is the best early season pipe I think I have ever been in.

Repeating tomorrow if anyone wants to get after it...

Try these, they're a jack of all trades kind of ski:

http://www.head.com/ski/products/ski...377/?region=eu

Great ski to develop on and find what you enjoy, from there you can get a more specialised ski further down the line. If not this particular model look for a ski similar to this that isn't too specialised and will let you find what you enjoy on the mountain without leaving you lacking too much in any department.

id do either of them
Golden (KH) and Revy are both sweet from what I hear. I'd also like to say that Fernie is awesome (32 cm fresh powder today, another 12-20 cm predicted for tonight) - town is slightly bigger than revy or golden I think too. Temp tends to stay above -10 C too which is nice.

**** today was awesome. fresh turns everywhere, almost no lift line (think the longest I had to wait was when I was 4th chair this morning).
