Try Hull in the UK... (northern industrial wasteland)

Other than that Pattaya in Thailand was my idea of hell, stopped off there on my way to Koh Samet (beautiful island). It was dirty and full of old western men hitting on the thousands of hookers (both female and ladyboys). Not somewhere I would ever visit again!

Tijuana, Mexico is the definition of ****hole. Mexico City is the same, only much, much bigger.

Boston. Hate that ****ing town. Dirty, inbred people populate it.

Any town in South Jersey or the Jersey Shore. Newark.

Detroit. Ugh.

Barstow, Bakersefield, and Stockton, CA. Especially Stockton.

Tijuana is a great example of a **** hole.
Depending on how you define the geography of LA, it can be a **** hole.
If you include culver city, venice, santa monica, beverly hills, brentwood, and hollywood areas, it is quite desirable.

most people say stockton, etc... well basically from Gilroy till la county along 152 and highway 5 and surrounding regions is a giant ****hole.

Agree about Marseille which I forgot to initial list. I still vividly recall my walk about the harbor area and viewing the two foot thick cover of floating garbage and scum on the water.

All of North Korea is a sh*thole but that is partially from political ramifications. The same may be said of Bangladesh.

2+2

Oh, and LA is awesome if you know what you're doing. If you're just wondering aimlessly though it's probably bad news.

Also lol at all you sick whales ITT, not a single mention of anything in Africa so I'll start.

African, the entire continent.

Watch Vice guide to travel in Liberia & Congo. Ridiculous.

( hope there wasn't in anything in OP about africa, cuz it was kinda tl;dr. )

I love that response; it is great. But it is just confirmation that it is all so true: Stockton, California is one of the quintessential sh*tholes of America. Unless you move to Barstow, California.

By the way; Hawthorne, Nevada is also a sh*thole. Had one of the worst meals of my life in that worthless place, full of worthless people, and worthless buildings, under a foul sunbaked landscape.

Sadly, my hometown of Boston is a ****hole.

Orange, New Jersey

Atchison, Kansas

Manhattan, Kansas

Tonopah, NV has so much arsenic in the ground that visitors will usually get sick after a few days...the locals have built up an immunity.

****hole mining town.

Live one hour away from Milan, but if I don't really have to go there I pretty much stay away from that city as much as possible and I don't think it is just the fact that since I live in Switzerland I find Lombardia (except possibly the Como Lake zone) dirty and grey.
