Re: Moving to Buenos Aires discussion
I'm not a surfer so I don't really know but I'll try to help you. Right in Buenos Aires there really isn't any surfing that I know. In some places on the river right outside of the city, San Isidro, Vicente Lopez etc. there are quite a lot of people that are into windsurfing and kitesurfing though.
I have stayed at hostels in Mar del Plata, Punta del Este that seemed to especially cater to surfers. So in those places, I'm sure there's some. I don't know how good it is. I wouldn't even know what good surfing means though. I'm sure there has to be some kind of known surfing forum where people talk about various locations. Ask about Mar del Plata, Villa Gessel, Pinamar (all within 5 hours car). In Uruguay, look for Punta Del Este and Punta del Diablo. Punta del Diablo is full of surfers.

I second this. Punta del Diablo is not only an awesome place to go (there's a club called Bitacora in the middle of nowhere that people go walking and it rocks) but also very good for surfers.
Problem is if you don't go during peak season (January/February) then it's a ghost town and it's quite far from Buenos Aires.

Best bet is to find a doc and go from there. I have some names if you want to PM me.

Hi Could you tell me the names of the doctors you found in BA to get a prescription? I am having a hard time locating one. Thanks, Megan

also: my friend discovered that having a moustache massively hinders your ability to get ritalin in BA

1- Cold and dark.
2- Everyone leaves but somehow it is still overcrowded
3- Yes, you will
4- Winter: nights between -2 and 8 (also morning), afternoon something between 10 and 20.
Summer: nights between 18 and 30, afternoon something between 24 and 35. It may get worse.
5- In winter? Very few days.
6- Of course.
7.1- Una reverenda verga. 7.2- 20 minutes i guess.
8- Depends where.

Re: Moving to Buenos Aires discussion
i mean you don't have to ask every random question, some of these things can wait.
Swiss medical is 300 pesos a month.
Maid is about 15-20 pesos an hour but might be able to get it cheaper who knows.
Where to go for weekends, I don't know, research it and do it if it sounds like your thing. You're in south america, i'm sure if you want to leave you can do some exploring. You can always stay in the city.
Depends what you want for breakfast? I don't know, this isn't a big breakfast city.
I get a masseuse, she comes to your house for 140 pesos for an hour.
There is a 24 hour place or two but whether they deliver to you depends on where you live. This isn't the best city for 24 hour food.
Day parties, uh, yes, like every other city?

Re: Moving to Buenos Aires discussion
If anyone is looking for an apartment, my brother wants to rents a 3 room apartment with terrace located in the absolute center of Palermo (only 2 blocks away from Sugar, at El Salvador and Gurruchaga), in a building that has a pool, between the 12th July and the 20th August. He wants 1500 dollars for all the period. If you want to know more about it or see pictures PM me.

Going to be heading down for a couple week vacation starting June 7th. A friend has a house in town. Interested in getting together at any of the dinners or home games.
