How are you guys acting like Weidman was faking it? He got drilled in the head with knees and was ****ed up. Obviously if he legitimately thinks he was fouled he's going to be like, "Yeah, I'm ****ed up from those illegal knees. He should be DQ'd" which is fine. But once they're like, "Actually, it was pretty close, but they're legal knees" he's obviously going to lie and say he's fine when he isn't.

Sure, be mad about him 'playing the game' with his hands down, but people are pretending he wasn't legit rocked.

To be clear I think he was hurt, the doctors were likely correct, and the error leading to the fight stoppage was actually fortunate for his health if not his record.

My issue is the narrative that he was robbed by not be allowed to continue with all of the advantages he gained already from that mistake. It's like people are saying if he was able to gain the advantage of every single error he may have won therefore he has bad luck, and this after he already made several decisions personally to try to use rules to gain advantage rather than fighting better than his opponent. Live by the sword and die by it imo. He, and his fans, don't have a lot of room to ***** about "fairness".

I think at the time he actually thought he was robbed and it wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't going in as an undefeated champion into three brutal KO losses.

Jacare just signed another 8 fight deal with the UFC. For some reason i just didn't see him going to Bellator, but could definitely have seen them letting him walk away out of negligence.

He was a strike force guy so I could have seen him go

Haha nice find PGUK. Good to know a poet laureate isn't above plagiarizing his lyrics.

i feel like signing 6-8 fight length contracts has to be bad for the fighter

Especially at 37, it most definitely is! You end up like Anderson fighting way past your prime, and probably as a punching bag for some up and comer!

every fighter's deal is different, so it would just depend on the fighter. jacare was making 135k + 60k to win. so they have room to offer him significantly more to sign a long contract

You're not obligated to fight, but if you do, it just has to be in the UFC.

Anyone watch the weigh ins and think Jacare looked kinda soft compared to his previous weigh ins? Hope we aren't getting a post USADA Jac tomorrow.

Rener has a pretty amusing ****post on the United passenger kerfuffle:

Stim,

He fought three times since the USADA era began, so I don't think it's that. Sometimes a camp and weightcut go slightly awry, whether it be from injury, illness, fighter motivation or just a different training regimen.

I thought he looked a lil softer than usual against Bostech as well. Could be all the things you listed or maybe just getting old. Thing is if he was slipping I don't think we'd notice against fighters like Vitor & Bostech, but we might against Whittaker.

tbh I'm probably that fish on a downswing who see's monsters under every bed.

Hope my boy Bobbeh Green can get back on track tonight. The Dagestan dude looks pretty tough though.

Rose vs Waterson is actually pretty decent for a womans fight.

04-15-2017 , 05:00 PM

04-15-2017 , 05:08 PM

Great fights so far tonight.

God I wish Aljo would learn some traditional technical boxing. He'd be a beast.
04-15-2017 , 06:27 PM
Insane fight. Been a long time since I need that much entertaining ground fighting.

God I hope they don't cut Smolka, he's so entertaining.
04-15-2017 , 07:19 PM

04-15-2017 , 07:21 PM
