That happened for pettis - Holloway interim title fight . So prolly rumble would win title with a win and it doesn't count as a title defense if Cormier won

In this case had Cormier missed and Rumble lost, would he get a rematch? Seems only fair, but who'd want to see a triology if DC dominated?

I feel like Chael Sonnen fought Paulo Filho in WEC and Filho failed to make weight. Filho was the champ. Chael won the fight and didn't win the belt iirc.

Also a little weird for Rumble to weigh in last second when he was apparently 1.2 pounds under weight. You'd think he'd want to weigh in early so he could grub & hydrate.

That's what i was referring to earlier, seems like not very smart planning. But then again this is the guy who couldn't step in to fight Jones because he was having dental work done because he couldn't stop binging on penny candy, so i might be expecting too much from him....

Im done with this pathetic organization. Most obvious fix of all time.

I guess he could be doing what Cerrone was trying to do with Kelvin. In NY if you and your opponent are more than 7 pounds apart the fight is off, so maybe he was waiting to possibly gain weight for fat boy just to keep the fight on.

I feel like this is definitely the case. There would have been some communication between the camps to ensure that the fight still happened even if DC was over the weight. There's a possibility that Rumble was 205 and ready for an early weigh in but then got the word from DC's camp and he unintentionally sweated/pissed out an extra 1.2lbs while he waited.

Apparently the towel trick is a well known old wrestling trick. All the pros calling him out on twitter lol

It's going to really piss off Daniel every one of the 1000 times Jon calls him a cheater for towel-gate. I'm struggling to understand how Daniel has issues making weight, though.

I think Jones will stop the cheating jokes after DC breaks out the limp dick & PED jokes.

Rumble said that when he was checking his weight on a scale that he had he was 205, while on official scale he was 1.2 lb under...

I read in the other thread that he had 2 more hours to cut the weight of he missed. To me that actually matters because he should have had to stay dehydrated and for that time rather than get to start recovering, which rightly benefits Johnson.

Sounds like these NYSAC guys got their hands on one of them OOT Fat-Off scales.

I'm amazed rumble is saying nothing.
04-08-2017 , 01:18 AM
i mean its one pound

i bet everyone is finding it funny that he got away with it except jon jones basically
04-08-2017 , 01:43 AM
Yeah I guess in the end it's only a pound and doesn't matter.

AJ saying the scale was light by over a pound and add that to whatever thhe towel trick gave him and it's closer to three than one.

I'm sure AJ is on a mindset that he doesn't need the advantage of making D.C. sweat for another hour, and doesn't think even 3 lbs will make a difference.

Watching the last embedded rumble is 1.2 under while wearing pants.

Any idea how this happened? Ignoring whether you think the rule is stupid or not.... how can they reverse a decision at that point, assuming that the rule is a written part of their constitution or whatever.

pearl is mma hot so im glad she gets to fight.

it was a ******ed ruling in the first place

Tried the towel trick with my girlfriend holding the towel and without much effort you can easily lower your weight.

Pushing it a bit harder you can knock off over a stone, amazing that fighters even bother cutting weight and don't just get some dudes to hold a towel nice and tight and weigh in whatever they want.

eddy,

With the number of problem's Rumble had with weight-cutting, he's better off staying quiet.

he is still a class act while promoting instead of trashing DC. He complained when DC was Booed and dont complain about yesterday drama, in my book that s super noteworthy.
