Angle perspective and some Photoshop.
His head is suspiciously small which is stranger than his gut

lol great stuff from Al. At first he was just being a cry baby but he's been great lately. Seems like twitter/forums are loving it as well, so he's gaining a bunch of fans.

UFC fires back, lol

Honestly since WME seems like all they care about is profit, it wouldn't surprise me if they don't care at all about Al raging if it brings more viewers to his fights lol.

it's not an issue for them. dana and co. just don't like Al personally so they aren't paying him. they gain nothing by cutting him, it's probably somewhere between neutral and slightly -EV. i'm sure they would love to sign him to another 8 fight deal for $26k show but he will be more expensive next contract.

easy to see where it goes from here. Al will fight out his contract and he will never receive a locker room bonus. after his contract ends, UFC will tie him up for 6 months or however long they are allowed to and then they will not match whatever Bellator offers him.

he will sign with bellator for the same pay or less and make up the difference with sponsorship money.

He and Weidman will prbly be a package deal by then.
04-30-2017 , 03:37 PM
If he gains a following I could definitely see them paying him. Prior to recently nobody really cared about all, but he's getting a ton of publicity now.

That picture of Dana is incredible.

It looks like they have taken a pic of a body builder side on and then photoshopped in the right arm, leg, shoulder and Dana's head.

Looks like an artistic rendering for his guest character in super street fighter or something.

Photoshop tool tells me made him a skinner but arms are legit. Pink areas are where the space looks cloned (to cut something out). I guess shocker, TRT + HGH work well.

so i've come up with a new parameter for the AAA system but i'm having trouble defining it.

to win a decision, a fighter must cross the "damage threshold." if neither fighter crosses the damage threshold, the fight is judged a cold draw. if both fighters cross the damage threshold, but a clear winner can't be determined, the fight is judged a hot draw.

i'm having trouble articulating exactly what the damage threshold is. the threshold should be relatively low, but i'm trying to put pen to paper and define exactly what it is. right now it's in my head as a "know it when you see it" type thing.

best i've got so far: The damage threshold is crossed when a fighter is successful with one or more attacks which lead to significant debilitation of their opponent.

All have varying degrees for strong argument as GOAT at their weight class.

Frankie has the weakest case but Breen was calling him the GOAT lw for a while at the end of his reign.

It's being seeded by a $500 million investment from Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta (who sold Ultimate Fighting Championship last year for $4 billion) and will be led by former UFC chief financial officer Nakisa Bidarian. There are no current plans to raise outside capital, according to a source familiar with the situation. www.fertittacapital.com

Still got enough money left over to buy a football team and then the UFC back for 1 billion in 5 years.

id watch the **** out of silva romero

When I read that, I thought 100% that would never happen, but you never know with new UFC...

I mean it isn't the worst fight ever. Yoel is 40 and might have to wait like 9 more months to get the title fight. This is a huge name, if its an interim fight he probably gets a big bump in pay, and it should be a pretty easy win.

Both fighters want it. It's a big fight, and if Silva somehow does magically win, that's great for the UFC. They can get Silva vs GSP/Bisping II which is probably the biggest fight to make at MW.

It sucks Yoel didn't get the title shot in the first place, but this is kinda the next best thing. I'd prefer this over him having to fight a legit contender.
05-02-2017 , 08:51 AM
Interim belts are just a way to secure a contenders shot at the title, so it should really be Romero v. Moussasi/Whitaker. I dont' mind, though. There was a really good /r/mma post that outlined all the times Silva stepped up for the UFC (DC on 2 days notice when he was on vacation recovering from surgery, for example), so this is basically a more excusable version of Bisping v. Henderson.

Being a good company man shouldn't be rewarded with title shots and throwing around interim belts. That should go to the most deserving contender. Reward good company men with more money or cushy jobs like Liddell got.

If the last year is any indication:
