Jfc, get rid of the usada already. They cost the UFC millions already and serve zero purpose

Wes,

Very unlikely DC gets the PPV % IMO. My guess would be UFC throws him something, but he'll have to wait til he defends the title to get the PPV % and it'll be less than he would have made headlining 200.

Someone asked Dana if Cormier will be compensated and he said " Usually with guys who don't make a lot of money we compensate them for their camps etc, Daniel Cormier makes a lot of money though so I don't know. "

Sounds like Dana doesn't want to pay him lol. Hope has a really good contract.

I hope Dana is busy on the phone right now.

Ideally one of Glover or Gustaffson are able to take the fight otherwise I'd start looking at potential opponents from the HW division. Barnett, Arlovski, Rothwell or Werdum would all make great fights and Barnett seemed pretty desperate to get on the UFC 200 ticket. Hell, just tell Roy Nelson that he is now fighting on Saturday instead of tomorrow.

DC said he doesn't wanna fight someone above 220-225.

Gus seems like the best option. First fight was great. That's a fight I'd legit be excited for.

I hate that we have to wait months to find out what substance it was.
07-07-2016 , 01:54 AM
Highly doubt Gus would accept that fight.

Tbh, with Jones out, I don't really care if Cormier stays on.

about 16 days ago he said he would

http://www.flocombat.com/article/428...or-right-money

Super high risk for both men tho.

That would be exciting.

Problem is he's in Sweden atm, tough to accept a 2 day notice fight with 9 hours worth of jet lag to overcome.

True.

I got a theory. 197 was Jones first USADA era fight. He tried to fight clean and looked very mediocre against OSP. Had to get back on the sauce, and got busted.

I doubt most of these guys ever really go "off" for fights. I think when a big name gets busted, it's because of a screwup/ripoff somewhere in the supply chain. They pay a ton for some crazy designer stuff that USADA's never even heard of, but someone just put 40 bucks worth of test or deca in a vial and sold it as 2-C-AlphaDihydraNebulone or whatever. Or maybe USADA didn't know about a particular compound a year ago, but they know about it now, and the lab the athlete uses just fell behind the curve.

Is this confirmed? Not coke?

Most champions have a contract like $200k + $200k to win + $3-$4 per PPV over 300,000. Cormier's last fight sold 250,000 PPVs. His next fight, if he headlines v. Glover with no Brock/Conor on the card will sell 250,000 PPVs. This card would have sold > 1,500,000 PPVs.

Q. Can Cormier sue Jones?

Cocaine isn't a part of out of competition testing, some guy in the lab ran the sample for it anyway. We were never supposed to know about his off season coke habit.

A. Worth a shot.
