Yeah this is a pretty poor fight. You have two elite strikers who are focusing on countering. That's always going to be a brutal mix of styles.

Holm's down 3-1 and is going to lose this on cards because she can't do anything offensively.

Holm needs to hang 'em up. She just doesn't seem to want to fight anymore. She's won everything, so there's no shame in riding off into the sunset.

I was implying suicide watch due to the fact she likely lost because of a terrible gameplan and looking past opponent. Holly has only looked impressive in one MMA fight...when Ronda ran straight at her fists for 2 rounds. In eery other one she looked meh at best

Dunno if you noticed but thats Rondas only game plan ever. Charge, eat punches, throw some of her own and try and get the clinch. Hollys footwork made the getting the clinch part really hard.

Holly was dominating Tate until she blew it in the 5th, Tate needed a finish and Holm fell right into it.

How she took any fight other than Tate/Rousey/Title after that is lolol.

what I get from the last few weeks is tate and holm were both overrated,

kinda sad but pretty exciting in a division where just a year ago it was one woman miles away of everyone and forget the rest.

I dont think anyone can really say where Rousey stands in all of this chaos.

I think a motivated Rousey is still quite a bit ahead of everyone else, she just needs a non-******ed coach who can give her a decent gameplan.

It's from various articles, but the short of it is that Rousey has trust issues with gym/teammates, and Edmund's gym for whatever reason was the first gym she took a liking to. Edmond, oddly enough, basically ignored her because she was a woman until he realized he could make money off her popularity.

Ronda's mom hates him for ignoring her, being a sycophant and probably a misogynist, but mostly because he's obviously a bad coach stunting Ronda's growth as a fighter. There's many stories of Ronda coming across as emotionally fragile so there's been speculation she sticks with Edmond because he showers her with praise and never really tests her. That may be true, but I think it all goes back to her trust issues. She found a gym she trusts, so she's not going to abandon them for anything.

Here's a few tings I recall over the years that highlight Ronda's fragile state of mind:

* Teenage Ronda rolls with a 200+ pound male Judo black belt and starts crying when she can't beat him
* Ronda screaming at Paige Van Zant "**** you, you fairweather bitch!" because Paige congratulated Holly
* One of Ronda's judo teammates finding her locked in her room after a Judo loss with dozens of candy wrappers strewn about
* Ronda's mom literally breaking down her door after the Holly loss because she won't let anybody in or answer her phone
* Ronda wanting babies with Travis Browne
