Did Shane ever comment on the PED investigation his name was caught up in? All i remember was that his name was on a list of athletes that used a doctor who was being investigated for illegally giving out PEDs.

Maybe he's just a jacked white-boy, too?

On Reddit someone asked him if he ever tried PEDs like steroids, epo etc and what his thoughts were on them and he simply said, " Yes. Don't do them. "

Carwin really should have beaten Lesnar the first time, but I didn't mind him retiring after that JDS fight

UFC 196 was on FS1 just now and I was surprised by how much closer Round 1 was from how I remembered it live. Conor's uppercut, though,w as looking crisp even as he was getting touched up in the 2nd.

11 day's notice, Conor now focused on Nate and not a KO, I'm legit excited even if y'all are calling the rematch superfluous. And then there's looking-better-than-ever-Aldo looming on the horizon.

I do think Conor has a decent chance if he goes out there and tries to point fight Nate, I dunno if Conors ego is capable of allowing him to do that though. The key will be kicks. The Diaz bros are notoriously easy to game plan to exploit tho so it wouldn't surprise me if Conor goes out there and wins.

I def still think the line is off tho. Fighting at 170 is a big mistake imo, Nate has looked to added some significant mass and will be the much larger man and skinny fat cabo nate was already able to bully Conor in the clinch a couple times.

Shane Carwin is amazing on Reddit. So much ****posting.

I think a fight between Carwin and Derrick Lewis would be a sweet match up.

i was a bit surprised at how huge nate looked in the photo somebody recently posted of him and nick

lol he's gonna **** conor up again

Weigh in thoughts.

Ellenberger looks like he could make LW. Lot less muscle mass.

Robbie looks a little deflated. Not a ton but not as big as usual.

Woodley physique still ridiculous.

Ben gave me a few tickets so I think I'll go watch this tomorrow. Should be a fun card. Moraes is ridiculous, too.

one of his coaches said he's at 200 pounds right now

Nate's cardio should allow him to carry what I'm guessing he'll cut to 185 or so for 5 rounds. That additional power combined with his boxing skill is terrifying against a guy who can't beat him on the ground.

He missed weight by 8lbs (in a catchweight fight, where he was already the heavier man), i still don't think its gonna be close, Caros all day!

So co-worker and I were talking about MSG PPV in Nov and how stacked a card it would likely be. I have the feeling they will want to try and break 200/202 numbers especially given the significance of the history of it and the size of the TV audience in terms of NY market.

Was thinking what might make sense for a sick card esp given its likely Conor/Weidman/Frankie are on the card given setting.

Conor vs. Aldo 2
Weidman vs Silva 3
Nick Diaz vs. Rockhold at 185
Frankie vs Cruz at 145 (Cruz can fill in if needed if C/A drop out)
or Cruz vs MM at 135
Joanna vs Rose

FS1 Prelims
Dillashaw vs. Faber
Holly vs. Meisha
Sterling vs. Cody
Al Iquenta vs Dustin Poirier
07-30-2016 , 02:34 AM
Weidman vs silva 3 and rock hold vs nick? You should both be fired.

"Almost 200", but he looked like he was carrying a good deal of fat that would be shed. Considering he's not officially moving to welterweight, he's almost surely not packing on any muscle. In other words, no way he's walking into the cage anywhere close to 200. Still, though, I can't see how any of this isn't worrisome for the Conor folks.

I'm looking at Mark Hunt's UFC record

L Brock: Busted
W Mir: Busted
W Bigfoot2: likely clean this time; huge difference
L Stipe: who knows but he's likely clean
L Werdum: questionable
W Roy: tested positive for burger king
D bigfoot1: busted
L JDS: questionable at best
W Struve
W Kongo
W Rothwell: Busted
W Tuchscherer
L McCorkle: admitted to abusing performance enhancing substances.

Outside of UFC he lost to Barnett, Fedor, Overreem, and Manhoef all in a row, lol

Wonder why he's so mad? Most of these guys who tested positive tested positive vs Mark.
07-30-2016 , 03:22 PM
He even said several times before the fight he knew Brock was on steroids and that he didn't care and he'd knock Brocks head off anyways. So its pretty stupid that he loses his mind all the sudden when Brock pops.
07-30-2016 , 03:46 PM
I don't think he was mad until he lost and saw Brock made 2.5 mil. It is a super questionable situation when the UFC negotiates a one of and negotiates more lenient testing.
07-30-2016 , 03:48 PM
Mark Hunt has a lot of losses but it's reasonable to believe he could have been champ if not one of the greatest heavy weights if he wasn't fighting juice heads his entire career.
07-30-2016 , 03:50 PM
Knowing you're in your 40s and your career is winding down. Seeing guys like Lesnar, who you believe to be a no talent hack, be rewarded is hard to accept.

Mark Hunt probably isn't one of the smartest guys either. I'm sure he has plenty of lawyers and agents in his ears too.
07-30-2016 , 03:51 PM
I mean the exemption isn't even remotely surprising. It's right there in USADA's rules that UFC has the right to wave the 4 month testing whenever they want. I said they were gonna do it for Conor back when I had the theory he fake retired before UFC 200 to duck testing. Hunt knew the deal and signed, made 700k too and probably a bonus.

Guy on Sherdog who seems to definitely know his stuff on PED testing is saying Lawlers levels for 189 were very suspicious. Apparently his Lutinizing Hormone levels which didn't really have restrictions at the time of the fight were 3x over the new current limit and 6x the average. Lutinizing Hormone is used to stimulate testosterone in ya nuts.

http://forums.sherdog.com/posts/119561373/

Probably not a coincidence he took 7 months off and looking a lil smaller.

i have pretty conflicting feelings about the ufc sometimes.

Like theyre really nice about paying fighters (and win bonus which is usually double) if their opponents have a late cancelation or miss a bit weight cut, etc. (like ian mccall's fight tonight)

It's like they have so much money from ****ing fighters over on the regular that they have the luxury to cherrypick when to be nice and generous
