You know hes not going away if he loses right? He'll likely try and make it back down to 145 to defend his title which to me is the best fight for him anyways. If he can't make the weight which I'm suspicious of they'll probably give him RDA at 155 or maybe CM punk at 170 lol.

Yeah but it def hurts him star power wise plus its gonna **** with him mentally really bad. I don't buy that Connor can keep fighting at 145 for long term so I guess he'd eventually meet Diaz again if he goes on a run at 155 but I think for overall enjoyment of UFC -- best case scenario is Connor winning at 170 by decision or stoppage, and then Aldo rematch at MSG.

Then 2017 is a super fight at 155 for belt and/or Diaz trilogy fight at 155.

Odds are Nat submits him imo but holding out hope for late round stoppage or Connor murdering his lead leg and body for a decision win.

It seems like he's in a lot of trouble right now because the 50% of the time he's gonna lose to Nate, he's going to find himself with the choice of dropping back to featherweight and being overweight and dominating there but always having the stain of his LW loss on his record, or moving up to lightweight where he's already ran into trouble with a guy who isn't even top 3.
