Has there ever been an LA 2p2 meet up? Might be a fun time.

I'll be in L.A. in late March for 4-5 days. Willing to spend moderate amount on food/entertainment. Top 3 lunch and dinner places? From what I've read I'll def be hitting Ink for sure.Top 2 bars/clubs? Will also be checking out Venice/Santa Monica area.

We rode the go carts at K-1 in Torrance today for my day date. Those things are pretty fast, the acceleration on an electric go cart is very impressive.

It was a lot of fun, but I did manage to re-aggravate my tennis elbow from all the left turns. Also Sean Emery, the lead vampire from True Blood was there with his kids, and some other dude who looked like a familiar actor.

A great day though. I would definitely recommend if anyone wants an offbeat thing to do in LA. Or if you have kids or kids visiting.

Hello!

I'm going to be in LA this weekend with my girlfriend (and others for LAPC). We are very into healthy eating and fine dining. Could anyone recommend a healthy fine dining restaurant and/or the best sushi in LA? (as that is always a good option!)

Thanks for the response and feel free to PM!

edit: called urasawa, they are booked, made a reservation at Sushi Park for saturday night though, good option?

Also, we are not vegetarian or vegan, but are into the Paleo style of eating!

matsuhisa (the original nobu) is amazing sushi. its a really popular spot and you will most likely see a celebrity (and nobu himself whenever he's in LA) but at the same time its super informal so you don't have to dress up or anything.

go with the omakase but make sure you ask for some golden-eye snapper dry miso style. i guarantee it will be one of the most amazing things you eat in your life.

if you want any other specific dish suggestions feel free to PM me, i know all the best stuff there. and if you're thinking meh i've been to nobu so many times, this location is so much better then his vegas location.

private joker and anyone else who feels qualified to answer, i'd really appreciate if you guys could rank (and if you want to elaborate that would be awesome) the following:

sushi zo
sushi park
matsuhisa (only one i've been too)
urasawa

you'd be doing me a huge favor.
cheers.

I've never been to Urasawa, but I'm going to guess it's #1 or 2.

Sushi Park
Sushi Zo

Matsuhisa (quite overrated IMO)

Funny you say that, I'm pretty sure I read last year that he's writing a new Patrick Bateman book set in Hollywood.
