Yeah, that's perfect if it's your school colors. I got my Orient Marshall only because the dial was a good match for USC cardinal/burgundy. I've considered an Orient Disk in the past but could never fully sell myself on it to pull the trigger. What would really be cool is if you could change the colors. Let us know how you like the feel.

Disk looks good. How could the hour marker doesn't look purple there? Just the lighting/angle? Seiko Alpinist SARB017 on massdrop for $316 shipped for next week. I have one, and once you get a new strap or bracelet to replace the garbage stock one it's a cool watch if you're looking for a unique green dial.

It starts white, and then gets like half white half purple, then purple, then half purple half white

I am thinking of getting the Hamilton field khaki titanium. Its 100m water resistant, I assume this would be okay to swim with? Would this strap be okay in water?

I own that watch. I would assume it's fine for swimming. I don't swim so I don't know. I have worn it in the shower a few times. The strap is leather on the inside with that rugged-ish material on the outside.

Nice watch I agree too, I was close to getting it recently. But I got the Graf Zepplin LZ129 Automatic instead last month that several people ITT recommended.

I'm loving it, I'm slowly building a collection, nothing too special yet, but I am aiming to get that Hamilton Khaki, and a Junghans Max Bill in the next couple months..
