Oh I didn't realize it's an annual calendar. That makes it more interesting but that GMT ring thing is horrible. I think I'd rather have a ClownMaster II.

Agreed. The style is totally different what I had pictured from the name, pictured something sleek/sportyish. Would totally mistake name for a Breitling model too.

An annual calendar is awesome and I'm almost shocked Rolex has done it.

That said the Skydweller is awful, and this confirms my suspicions that Rolex is just terrible at coming up with new ideas. In the last.... 25 years?(more?) they've come up with two new designs afaik. One being the watch before you, the other being this:


I actually thought the Sky was a YMII.
I am bummed. Hopefully annual calendars make their way to watches that aren't disgusting.

Are their margins and prices on that goofy looking **** above enough to justify what must be super low demand items vs. releasing, say a ceramic bezel sub ND with glidelock that would seemingly sell very well, albeit at a lower but still premium price?

The press release for the sky dweller says the bezel is "bidirectional rotatable RING COMMAND" which means... wut?

They did announce a ceramic ND sub with glidelock.
