gl with selling the PAM, beautiful watch. i should prob pm you but was just wondering if you could update with how it goes (i see you only have 8 posts on timezone). i've been meaning to sell my breitling but have never posted on wus/timezone/breitling forums and am trying to stay away from ebay (obviously?) i know that for established posters getting sent the money first (wire/whatever) is pretty standard but what about for new posters? any help would be appreciated and sry if this has been discussed before but i don't remember seeing it and i've prob read the last 40 pages of this thread.

Well, I received the blue Orient Mako today, but I'm going to return it. It looks and feels smaller than I was expecting. I may try the 44m XL version. I thought 41mm would be just big enough but maybe the bezel makes it look smaller.

I'm not a huge fan of the mako XL, the lume is pretty terrible and I'm not sure its worth the premium over the regular Mako.

that mako seems pretty sweet, multi eyes looks kinda cool too

are those decent watches for the price?

Yeah obviously the Monster is a good choice though some find the Monster aesthetics a bit too bold. You can find the bracelet version for like 160 and its a really nice solid link, solid endpiece bracelet with a diver's extension.

Unfortunately, the Bernhardt Sea Shark has risen in price to $239 from its previous price of $199 but the new version does have a Sapphire Crystal so thats something to consider if you are willing to increase your budget a bit.
It is 42mm.

Your size requirements also removes most of the Russian options since those are mostly under 40mm.

One option is the Orient Excursionist

http://orientwatchusa.com/mens/diver-watches/ffe06001w

with coupon code its going to be about $190.

Be aware that the GMT hand is not independently settable and is just a 24 hour hand so you will have to use the 24 hour bezel to get your 2nd time zone.

You also lose a traditional diver's timing bezel of course.

it is 200m and automatic and 45mm though.

That Orient has a lot going for it aesthetically and I like the case back integration a lot. "Beveled insets" (right term?) on the minute markers always catch my eye. Adds depth and focus to a multitasking watch imo.

If you don't like the Monsters, check out the SKX007.

Let me find the link for where I got mine, ~£120 it was from far east and no customs charges, although you are liable for them so its a bit hit and miss. The site usually does get away with them from what I read though.

BM

OM

I wear it on the z22 rubber rather than the bracelet. Well saying that I dont wear it at all really but it is lovely, just prefer the rest of my collection.

If you dont mind buying lightly used you can probably find it for ~£100 on the dot.

Dressy or sporty?

Longines immediately comes to mind, though most of their nicer offerings are a bit out of your price range.

Glycine has some really nice pieces around £700

The IWC on this list looks soooo sick. Also I usually am not a the biggest Rolex fan (especially ones with the cyclops), but the Explorer II here looks amazing...Transocean looks pretty damn badass as well.

I think the Nomos is pretty sexy. It's a little weird looking, but I like it. It's almost like a combination of too plain and too funky, balanced out into one beautiful watch.
