BTW, what color would you all say the face is?

shot in the dark

looking for the name of a watch -
in this thread someone posted a link to another watch forum
the watch was semi-custom, like ordering what color scheme maybe, i think it was around 700-2000 lol, there was a wait time
very very plain/sterile dial/case, kinda like ordering a semi-custom pilot
not a diver or chrono, no subdials
the dial was a beautiful gray in several angle shots, then a straight on photo revealed it was white
not a mainstream brand
possibly german

That Bremont is weak. There are probably 40,000 other versions of that watch that are better and cost less. I guess if you like Futura then go for it but other than that, IWC Mark XVI pwns that Bremont completely.

I'm fine with this set of rules aside from number 2. really think there should be a set number of watches assuming we are going by the standard snake draft.

^^ Agreed..and the number needs to be high enough to make the savvy shopper have an edge. I'm thinking min 8.

1. Dress
JLC Master Control Moon

2. Sport
Rolex Milgauss

3. Diver
IWC Aquatimer

4. Chrono
IWC Pilot Chrono

5. Beater
Panerai Luminor Marina

6. Guilty
I'd probably use this on some vintage JLC or something, or maybe another diver, every spring I tend to fiend for new divers.

If you are gonna pick a portugese, don't pick the chrono (especially if you dont like chronos). Go for the Regulator or straight 5001.

I have never seen that Seiko SUS 4S15 before, is that a JDM? Also, since it says hi-beat on the dial, does that mean it beats at 36,000 like the grand seiko hi beats or 28,800?
Let's Talk Watches Quote

That's SCFF001. Long discontinued, and yes, it was a JDM issue. it's a 4S15 movement, which is 28,800 IIRC.

I looked up the 4s15 and it said it was hacking but didn't mention if it was handwinding. I assume it is but do you know PVN?

Also, any experience with how the 4s15 is compared to say the 6r15?

4s15 is reportedly a pretty nice movement, but I've never really read up on it much or handled a piece with one for any significant amount of time.

Couldn't find a good pic of one in my 30 second search for it.

Does anyone have any comments about Croton? How about this one in particular?

http://www.timezone123.com/watches/M...07215SSSL.html

Also, does anyone have a reccomendation for a thin, metal or titanium band watch?

Thanks

You're not going to get titanium in the under $100 price range.

I don't know what to tell you about a $59 quartz. If you like the style, just get it. Personally I think the thin mesh bracelet is nice, nicer than the folding metal bracelets you usually get in this price range.

So yeah, its not an great deal but not terrible either. get it if you like it.
