If you've already bought it, then I say just enjoy it and not worry about whether it was a good deal or not. Unless if you have a return option or something.

A quick glance and Amazon has the leather version for $276 so if you got the bracelet version (bracelet usually cost more) for $200, thats most likely a good deal.

Where i bought it, the saleswoman said it was $400 before, and it was with a big discount for ~ $230 i think

I just bought my first watch a few days ago. This thread got me interested in watches and I decided to go out and purchase a "decent" watch (non walmart issue). As somebody who is obsessed with getting deals I found a great deal on this guy at a local pawn shop.

Any objections?

I picked it up for like 100, its got some dings in it but I think it was worth it as a multi-functional work watch. Haha, this definitely made me the best dressed engineer at the office.

Yeah for 100, its a good buy. Really think eco drive is the best of the self charging quartzes. Even electric light will keep an eco drive charged and actual sunlight will charge up the battery really quickly.

the single pusher is really unneccesary on the Orient mako and its only use is for the quickset day of the week. I guess they couldn't put that function in to the crown but didn't want to force you to set day of the week the slow way. It kind of messes up the aesthetics a bit but aside from that the Orient Mako is a great watch for coming under $100 if you use the right coupon codes at orientusa.

Why the hate? I love the Steelfish myself.

Find your local Breitling AD if you want a new one.

For a pre-owned, there seems to be decent deals on TZ and WUS often for these.

Breitlings are awesome and look amazing. don't mind the pretentious people ITT. Some are like a friend of mine. If a band is at all well-known / popular and many people like them, he automatically hates them.

Based on that picture you just posted, looks like the watch's is surrounded by a transparent casing.

Agreed.. while I was at the cusp of being a Steelfish owner, I ended up feeling that the dial was too crowded. It's in a different price range, but holding out to pickup a Blackbird one day. Bought a used Seawolf (older titanium version) off of WUS.

Meh, reason I don't like Breitling is because they use ETA movements for most of their watches, with the exception of the new in-house movement (so it makes them a little less disgusting to me). Coupled with the fact that most of their watches look like a roulette wheel you get this gaudy perception of these watches and that tends to carry over to the wearer (new money blah blah). That's probably why most ppl ITT aren't huge fans of Breitlings. Similar to Panerai I guess? I mean, I don't dislike these watches, but I just probably wouldn't wear one...just personal preference.

So there may be some truth to the stereotype I guess.

Anyone with the kind of money to spend on a new Breitling should be smart enough to look at a couple other watch makes out that that make 2x better watches at the same price range too....soo..ya. Used is a little bit different story.

I truly dont get where the Panerai/douchebag connection comes in, I've seen hundreds of Breitlings/Jacobs, both real and fake, on douchebags (usually in Vegas), but I've never seen a Pan. I don't even mean on a douchebag, i just mean in general, but they seem kinda understated and not a good fit for the link.
