It's blingy....but its still classic. I think it's because it's a Navi instead of a Chronomat, B01, SA, or other more modern style. It's also sentimental, as my wife got it for me for our 10th wedding anniv.

i came across a pic of me trying on the classic navitimer (black face, white subdials) with a black leather strap and it really made me wish i got that instead of the datora. edit to add damn i wish one day i'll get breitlings as gifts.

I like the collection 'group photo' shots.. I will have to round the horses and get one done.

In the stable;

Baume & Mercier Capeland S XXL
Baume & Mercier Classima Executive 8732
Breitling Seawolf Titanium - Gray
IWC Spitfire Pilot Chronograph
Kobold Arctic Diver Swiss
Panerai 000L
Panerai 292L
Rolex Submariner Date 16610
Sinn U1

The watch fanatic insanity has been fully entrenched in me the past 2 years.

The Datora is a wonderful watch, worry not good sir!

I've been watching Seinfeld on DVD and I've noticed some SERIOUS product placement by Breitling.

Jerry is seen wearing a Breitling in almost every episode. Frequently a Navitimer(black with white subs) as well as a few other ones.

Which EVER way he's facing in a shot, the watch is on that wrist. If he's in the coffee shop, sitting on the left, the watch is on his right hand. If he's on the left facing right, it's on the left.

If he crosses his arms, it's always so the watch is visible.

Always.

there is nothing wrong with Heuer.... Pronounced OO Aar. Just makes sure you get the automatics or manuals. Quartz is for ninies

Thanks Amoeba for the breakdown on the Bernhardt's. Amazing to me that they can even compete with Seiko at that price point.

Hello,

Quick question about the STEINHART Nav B Chrono linked below. I love the look but absolutely hate the strap. Can you buy a new one and replace it on this watch? And if so where do you recommend buying a strap.

Steinhart has a decent selection: http://www.steinhartwatches.de/index...0&Sel_Cat_ID=1

You may be able to request that it comes with a different strap.

yeah the Slyde is pretty cool but I think its going to be like 5k.

Don't get me wrong I think its worth it initially but the thing with electronics is that there will be something better for 1/5th the cost in like 2 years time.

wtf, it's like an ipod nano + a .99 watch app with slightly updated graphics.

And you probably can't play angry birds on it.

Fail.

Is the screen on the slyde always on? Or is it like an iphone where you have to press a button to get a short amount of power sent to the screen?

If that graphic is constantly running I can't imagine the battery life could be very good...

I did contact him but the only ones available were white on black and orange on white. In the pic you posted and I quoted the metal looks black to me, like some kind of dlc/pvd treatment.

nah, its just the angle. There isn't a PVD version.

I'm very happy with my Steinhart Ocean One, but still wish I could trade it for this Ocean Black:

i have been patiently waiting for another one of these to come up for sale again (close to 6 mos now), but with a limited # of only 111 made seems like no one wants to get rid of theirs. 44mm, titanium case, tobacco dial, gold hands...

really like the PVD Steinhart. Doesn't quite look like a sub homage with the all black treatment.
