be advised, the mudman buttons are harder to press than regular g-shocks due to the extra rubber cover (to keep the mud out).

Seiko SARB049 - Approx $550-600 depending on exchange rate.

How much DO you want to spend? Also, how big are you willing to go?

edit: and are you dead-set on a PVD finish?

I recently bought my first PVD watch, about $700-- like it a lot (it's got some serious weight to it though) but I can tell already when nicking the PVD finish it's definitely more noticable. I like it as a mix in watch, but I wouldn't want it as my primary wear.

2k or under. ehhh i guess like 45 is as big as i would like to go. i wouldnt even mind something medium sized. def want something where rubber strap is an option.

def not dead set on a pvd finish but i do like the look.

edit: trpl i got an email from watchbuys that said they are expecting a shipment of u1's to come in the next couple days, i think u said u were looking to get one of those.

Thanks, yeah.. I'm waiting on sinnwatches to get it in because it's a few hundred cheaper and I can actually have it shipped to my London office and then to me this way (they wont ship US direct). Watchbuys is quite expensive.

PM me if you want more specifics...

i love this one way more then the U1, thanks for the heads up. The hands of this one look way better compared to the, in my opinion, awkwardly shaped hands on the U1.

Bali Hai GMT is pretty sweet (but vapor right now) IMO

http://www.balihaiproject.com/watches/gmt.htm

(the original Bali Hai project watch is still available but the PVD run is sold out and they NEVER come up for sale).

Dwatch is pretty highly regarded but I don't know much about them.

Benarus Remora might be nice if you want something "smaller" as it's "only" 42mm. Not yet available either, though. It has the new Miyota 9015 movement which is supposed to be supersweet.

You can pre-order this for only $450 ($500 for PVD) until June 4th. I am probably going to pull the trigger on one.

If you don't mind quartz then maybe a seiko Tuna? It's a helluva watch IMO.

UTS 1000m is pretty nice. New it will be near the top of your price range.

I like the UTS a lot, but haven't seen one in person.. the ways the lugs are and the thickness of the case I was a little concerned it may wear too big. But it's been on my 'watch' list.

Check out the Kobold Arctic Diver.. I love that watch (may be slightly above the range)

edit: didnt remember kobold being that much, prices gone up recently? may troll tz for some used stuff

The Kobolds are nice for sure. The arctic diver is WAY outside your pricerange though. I think the retail on those is like $6k.

The Diveas Vortex is similar (the case is almost exactly the same and made by the same designer (Fricker)) and I believe it has the same movement for like $800.

I think Arctic Diver - Swiss w/ date is in the 3500 range? There is actually one for sale on WUS for $2400 w/ an extra high end leather strap I believe.

I like the Dievas Vortex...

It's not as bad as that picture makes it look. Seiya uses some ultra-wide-angle lens that makes a bunch of his pictures look distorted like that. But it is a BIG watch. Probably bigger than you want, it's about 48mm. the fact that it's just a big round puck with the lugs up under the shroud makes it wear a LITTLE smaller but not a whole lot. The lugs are 22mm on that one FWIW.

1. check for local watchmakers around your area

tyty took it in today they will check and report back to me.

They mentioned that if it's magnetized they may need to regulate it which involves opening the watch up. I'll have to look in to this.

Not sure how you feel about orange on black snipes, but there's a PVD Enzo with the PVD bracelet and rubber strap for sale on WUS for $1,200.

Also one for sale for 1090 euros, no bracelet but with an extra black face.

Archimede
Bali Hai
Benarus
Boschett
Diveas
Halios
Prometheus
Seagull
Xetum

Have already added 2 more names in the last week from this thread.
