Re: Let's talk Stand-up

I discovered stand-up about a year ago lol.
And since then i have watched carlins, louis cks, chris rocks and david chappelles videos over and over and over again.
Never get tired of them.
Havent seen no1 live tho, this specific entertainment area is not known in my country.

This always cracks me up, "so what do you do? people wanna fk me"

Re: Let's talk Stand-up

Have you heard "Something to Take Edge off"?

That's my favorite one of his earlier work and probably my favorite overall. I think it's significantly better then "TGWS", which I also love.

My first thought was Stewart Lee when I saw this thread - his new DVD is good.

I've heard a handful of clips of his work but this was the first complete release I've heard. Definitely going to be buying the rest of his stuff.

Re: Let's talk Stand-up

been a big stanhope fan for awhile. saw him live in SF and he was pretty wasted and seemed like he was just riffing off the top of his head for about 90mins and it was awesome.

it was this small warehouse type space, no seats or anything and everyone just crowded right in front of the small raised stage.

he brought this rando chick up who was totally smashed to be his opener (she was obv insanely terrible) but then he came up and started riffing with her and it was just hilarious.

never seen anything like it.

I'm flying the Phoenix to see Louis CK next weekend. He just absolutely kills me. I have an unhealthy obsession with his stand up actually. It's bad when multiple times a day something reminds you of one of his bits.

Re: Let's talk Stand-up

Seems a lot of people agree on some of the greats.

If you want to try something different I would suggest Dylan Moran and Michael McIntyre.
