+1 on the cut. PP was working the truck that night, maybe he saw it better.

At mmadecisions, no media member gave it to Cruz.

^^^ That might be because every everyone who gave the first two rounds to Cruz found a reason to giver R5 to Cody to avoid a 48-47 Cruz or 47-47 card which they felt would look silly. FightMetric have Cruz outlanding Garbrandt in all five rounds. That doesn't account for quality of punches or knockdowns (e.g noone is giving Cruz R4), and the punch counts themselves are subjective. Scoring the fight for Cruz (or a draw) is no less ridiculous than scoring Gustaffson over Jones imo. Each time you need to give the one guy all three close rounds. Garbrandt has the advantage of a potential 10-8 (I score more 10-8s that most but had it 10-9), but I think Cruz won the fifth round clearer than Gustaffson won any of 1-3.

Random thought: Ramadan 2017 is May 27 - Jun 25. Which means Khabib won't fight in June, July or August, right? Daylight is > 15 hours in Dagestan which doesn't leave much time to train for a fight. Isn't June-August around when we expect Conor to come back? Can totally see Conor/Dana pulling a 'We really wanted to fight Khabib but since it's Ramadan we're making an exception for Conor-Nate III'.

I thought Cruz won round 2 and 5 and thought Round 1 could have went either way. Also gave Cody 10-8 for Round 4 so had it as a Cody win with possibility of a draw depending on which way they leaned Round 1.

Khabib is charismatic & has a good mic game but half his UFC wins are by decision. That said anyone who puts a beatdown on Conor is likely to become a big star. And he'll hype the fight well. That $200k thing is very strange - is Khabib even on $200k a fight?
He has rich friends:

Realized that pictures is a bit ambiguous. The guy on the right is some Dagastani billionaire who gave him the car as a gift.

Khabib was great on the MMA hour, offered Ariel $200k to fight him.

Dana would probably put up another $200k to see Ariel get smeshed.
01-03-2017 , 03:33 PM
Yea after a bit of thinking if the 200k offer isn't just a bluff from Khabib, it's likely his friend is fronting it.

So Conor is +125 Woodley -155 on 5dimes.

If people really think it's that close maybe it's a lot more likely to happen than I expected. It makes sense, all reward and little risk. Only concern is a career altering beating.

Real line Woodley -400? Seems generous to McGregor if anything.
01-03-2017 , 04:54 PM
cant be much money on those lines. Who would want to tie up money for the entire year?

I thought Rampage had dibs on Ariel.

Conor wrestled 280 lb Diaz's as a child, Woodley is nothing to him.

WWE guy that also commented on Glory I guess and was on MMA live even though I don't remember him. From what I'm reading he's basically another Anik.

New Edmund Flute video:

Secret to Ronda's success was ping pong availability. I bet they took that bitch out after the Holly fight. Crucial mistake.

Is this real life?

01-04-2017 , 06:34 AM
Yeah that's real, saw it a while ago before the Holm fight.

The Armenian Ali

That's the patented "get the water out of your ear after a dip in the lake". Nunez is lucky Edmund didn't get a chance to shriek the cue from her comer, tbh.

Not to **** on a good laigh at Edmind, but thats not him in the painting. It's an Armenian boxer
01-04-2017 , 05:25 PM
Is that supposed to be Vic Darchinyan????????
01-04-2017 , 05:29 PM
There are two stories. One is that it's Vic, the other is that it's a painting of Edmund made by one of his relatives. I chose to believe the latter story.
