A lot of debate on how well the leg kicks will work since Conor is a southpaw and all he'd have to do is slightly lift and turn his leg to check the inside leg kick instead of the standard check which is much quicker and easier than checking a kick if he was a standard orthodox fighter checking an outside legkick. Also obviously Conor will be preparing for the leg kicks a ton in this camp.

That said Siver was able to land a ton on him. And Aldo sets up his leg kicks better than anyone in the game.

Another interesting aspect of the leg kicks is Conors counter straight left, which is probably the best in the game. Though Aldos setups should make that difficult.

So GSP has a sponsorship deal that makes it impossible for him to fight under the current reebok deal. I'm guessing it's under armor but I'm not sure. If GSP comes back he's either going to have to wait for his sponsorship deal to end or he's going to have to fight a super fight in bellator. Idk if Benson is right for him but the fact that it's possible is interesting.

GSP has also said he doesn't like the current testing organization the UFC uses.

Just watched the press conference. Some random stupid notes.

- Conor wasn't in a suit for the first time in a long time. He was in some awful short sleeved button up. Talked almost no trash and was really calm. He even gave Aldo like a respectful nod at the end of their staredown. Also he didn't look nearly as bad with the weight cut as he has previously.
- Rockhold seemed super nervous. Shaky and tripping over his words. Also really high pitched.
- Weidman was super relaxed cracking his lighthearted little dad jokes.
- Aldo seemed like Aldo.

I'm from Ireland and I can tell you there's way too many people underestimating Aldo. It would be hilarious if White's two main cash-cows at the moment got beat within the space of a few weeks.

I love Conor but my bet will be entirely based on an older Brazilian getting an actual PED test for the first time.

its hard for me to bet here simply because I have no idea what Aldo's gameplan will be. If he tries to grapple a good amount, I think he's a great bet. Conor is by the worst grappler he's faced since Hominick who he toyed with on the ground.

If he just tries to strike though I think Conor will end up the victor.

Been a long time since I've seen the Hominick fight but I don't remember Aldo toying with him.

I remember being surprised how effective Hominick's wrestling was but it's been a long time since I saw that fight.

But that was a day and age where you could assume a European's ground game was absolute trash and be correct 90% of the time.

Aldo took him down like 5-6 times and beat him up pretty good on the ground rounds 1-4.
