Has anyone tryed out these? http://www.jaybirdgear.com/sb2/
I'm not an audiophile or something but I value good sound.
Them being wireless is definately a plus since I will be able to use them for jogging.

Thought I would ask this here. I've got a pair of AKG K701's that have recently started having a slight faulty connection here and there. I think it might be the wiring/cable. Can anyone recommend a good place to send them in for repair? I'm located in Bay Area too if any of you happen to know of a place.

Grunching,

What's avg battery life for qc15s for you guys? My battery life seems to be absurdly bad and I'm wondering if I need to return them. Feels like I go through a single AAA battery once a day.

Hey guys,

Not sure if this is Kosher or not (if it isn't please just delete or whatever), but I'm selling a pair of Sennheiser IE8s over in the general marketplace (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/17.../#post27353089) for $230. Figured someone who was looking to make the jump into premium audio and looking for a deal might appreciate the heads-up.

The battery life seems to be much worse than their claim of 35 straight hours when using them nonstop (like say at the WSOP). Almost never need to use them for more than a few hours a day though, so that's not such a big problem.

Most people itt seem to think Bose is rather overrated, but I prefer the rechargeable qc3s over the 15s (having to worry about constantly changing AAAs).

Apparently Sleek by 50 is dead. Sleek and 50 had some kind of disagreement so Sleek will probably take their technology to someone else. I really want wireless over the ear phones tho

i have sennheiser hd 555s, $95 on amazon, excellent reviews very comfy. great sound but if you want stupid levels of bass they are not for you.

Yah, ive seen those before, look great, but a bit too expensive maybe

Ive also just found these, are they worth the 50$ difference?

I need headphones for my office and for the lab that has a lot of noise from computers. I prefer headphones over IEMs. I was thinking of getting DT880s for the office first and eventually getting some IEMs for the lab. Any thoughts on this?

Are there any recommendations on DACs and amps for the DT880s? I don't really know what I am willing to spend.

sony is trash, cant go wrong with senns

ahhh just noticed ur looking at the senns 280pros.

i tried these on few weeks ago and they werent comfy at least for me cuz i have a big head

they were also built cheap (flimsy if u will) for what i have grown accustomed to -- sound quality was alright was lacking bass tho and highs were alright also big difference in price so id keep looking

for the same price as the 280s have a look at m-audio q40

Looking for a good pair of headphones for running, any suggestions? Thanks in advance

I posted about them before once, just ordered my second pair. Check our Auria, they stay in your ears really well, pretty inexpensive for the quality iyam.

Just bought the Sony MDR-ZX700 for $65. Best investment ive made in quite a while, they sound terrific. Bass not as good as my V6's (that finally broke after years and years of treating them like ****) but the mids are insane good and everything else is super balanced. Would buy again! In fact I just might considering the price.

Can anyone give an opinion on Sennheiser HD 515?

They're marketed as being entry level audiophile headphones.

http://staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/sear...+HD+515&spos=1 shows a rather silly range in pricing - the mwave site selling for $86, while others sell for $200.

As far as the $70-100 range, how would these headphones match up to others? Going to be used mostly straight from computer, somtimes ipod.

Thanks guys.

Bump - I listen to a lot of music at work but the headphones won't go as loud as I'd like, even with every volume setting at maximum. My work computer has some ****ty integrated sound card and I plug the headphones directly in to the front jack (there's an output jack in the back of the computer, it sounds the same). Do I need a headphone amp to go any louder? If I have to spend the money on something like that, would I be better off getting headphones w/ an integrated amp assuming those exist?

Can anyone tell me if the build quality of the bose qc 15 is better then the first version? i`ve gone through 2 pair of the first version, and kinda gone off them because of this. And yes i know its not the best value for money, but i can`t find anything that`s as comfy(i prob listen to 5 h of music on average a day), and the sound is decent.

Does anyone else own a pair of these? Shure SRH840

http://www.amazon.com/Shure-SRH840-P...4734753&sr=8-1

I did extensive listening tests of various headphones at Guitar Center, and before putting them on, the Shures weren't even in the running of what I thought I would get. Immediately after putting them on, my choice was clear. Out of the box, the image is superb, and the bass is still appealing, though absolutely not at all heavy (these are more of a flat headphone without a lot of hype). If you're looking to hear a lot of sub bass frequencies, these are not for you, but if you like a relatively accurate picture of the sound as it was mixed (in a headphone type way), I think you will love them.

Out of the box, they are a little bit bright, but after about 30 hours or so, that comes down quite a bit, and the high end is very nice. I thoroughly enjoy listening to music on them, and the main genres I listen to are Neo Soul, R&B, and Hip Hop. These are also "loud" headphones, if that makes sense to you.

I am a Re-Recording Mixer by trade, if you are looking for any qualification for my statements.

I went through 2 or 3 crappy 20$ headphones over a few months and realized that I was just setting money on fire. So I invested in 100$ bose headphones and they are worth every penny. The sound quality is pristiene and they come with a life time warranty(i believe). The buds themselves fit very comfortably and I can't recommend them enough.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Bose%26%...&skuId=1114791

Fwiw, I work at best buy and handle returns. The Dr. Dre beats headphones are probably the most returned item we sell. I hear a lot of "they just wornt worth 500$."

Fossil and Bose... You're batting a thousand.
