I don't think he is currently licensed and he doesn't have a fight booked so I don't even know that they can test him.

Not true. You only apply for a license like a couple weeks out from the fight. Pretty sure Wandy didn't have a license when they tried to test him either.

Also, the UFC WADA thing they can test anyone on the roster at any time.

I honestly think Jones could hold the LHW and HW titles simultaneously if he wanted to. After beating DC the only fights that make sense in LHW are a Gustafsson rematch and a fight with Rumble.

Maybe she wasn't guaranteed next in line but she was absolutely guaranteed a title shot at some point.

Well yeah, but even if she somehow did lose a fight the title shot wouldn't be gone forever. The division is so weak and Ronda was doing a great job in beating everyone so easily it made rematches pointless. Like how could they possibly sell a Ronda V Cat Zingano, Sara McMann etc rematch? So anybody who hadn't fought Ronda with a few wins would have a good chance to get a shot.

dunno her $$$ and appeal would be much bigger if she just knocked out people left and right before getting to rousey

sandbagging makes no sense in an entertainment sport like this, specially with a company like the UFC rewarding spectacular fighters in many ways.
